  • Heart Leads Redvers to Sea the Stars Colt
WEDNESDAY, 23 OCTOBER 2019 SMULLEN: PROMOTION OF THE SPORT IS KEY HEART LEADS REDVERS TO By Pat Smullen SEA THE STARS COLT Oisin Murphy didn't end up with a big winner on Saturday but he's had a big year and that is the important thing. On Saturday I was thinking back to the work rate he has put in this year. He has ridden all over, travelling by plane, by helicopter, however he could get there to ride horses at two different meetings in a day, wherever they may be. His work ethic is something that needs to be applauded--that's what you need to do to be champion jockey. Oisin is not only an excellent rider but he is great for the game. He promotes our industry extremely well and I hope he does so for many years to come. I must admit, earlier in the year I was hoping that Danny Tudhope would be able to pull it off as the work that Danny has to put in to maintain his weight is phenomenal, and nobody sees that behind the scenes, but it wasn't to be. I). Gary Stevens subs for a sidelined Edgar Prado on Runhappy, who has been in California with trainer Laura Wohlers since early December. Stevens was aboard the son of Super Saver for his seven-furlong work Dec. 15. "One-turn mile races and one-turn seven-furlong races are the toughest races to win," Stevens said. "You have to have speed and stamina. He has got a big, long stride on him—he doesn't move like a sprinter." While Runhappy will be a big favorite, trainer Kiaran McLaughlin has a pair of lightly raced Ber- nardini colts that bear watching: Marking, a Nov. 4 Aqueduct winner is out of dual grade I winner Sev- enth Street; Watershed, in just his second career start, was a rallying fourth behind Runhappy in the seven-furlong King's Bishop (gr.

Her dedication to the Fund was consistent with her lifetime of tireless commitment to a variety of civic and professional organizations here in New York. She will long be remembered not only as a role model for women involved in the practice of law but also as a forceful advocate for the humane treatment of all animals.
