THETHE BULLETINBULLETIN The Saint Wenceslaus Bi-Weekly Mailed Bulletin Publication

February 27, 2017 FROM THE PASTOR… Well, here we are, on the threshold of Lent! I have heard many people say they cannot believe Lent is already here, but when you look at when Ash Wednesday can land (as early as February 04 and as late as March 10) it is not an early Lent. Since Lent is a penitential season, perhaps it is typical for us to “not be ready.” Have you thought of how you will set aside your everyday, normal routine and embrace Lent? The church encourages us to fast, pray, and give alms. Don’t let Lent get away from you; be sure to enter into this beautiful season and encounter Christ in every step. We have a few ways to encourage you on the journey over the next 40 days — Attend Daily Mass; Pray before the Blessed Sacrament in Adoration on Tuesdays; Attend Stations of the Cross on Fridays at 7 pm — thank you to SAINT WENCESLAUS Deacon Stockert and Deacon Zent for leading the Stations; Women are CATHOLIC CHURCH encouraged to sign up and participate in the Lenten Book Club; All parishioners are invited to pick up and read a (free) copy of 7 Secrets of Confession. We have 505 Third Street East, Dickinson, ND 58601 SVATÝ VÁCLAVE, ORODUJ ZA NÁS!
