Grands’ Day recognizes the importance of our heritage, our CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS community, and relationships across generations. At Hororata we combine the event with our, Celebration School Tuesday 11 December (Evening) Assembly (11.00am – 12.00pm), a shared lunch (12.00 – 1.00pm) and our annual Pet Show (1.00 – 2.45pm)… all to be END OF YEAR held on Monday 12 November 2012, at Hororata Primary School. Friday 14 December 2012 We understand that not all children have grandparents and some grandparents will be unable to attend. We encourage these children to bring another special older adult – a family friend, other relative like an aunt or uncle, or a neighbour… a special “grandfriend.” Messages In addition to the above programme we will be running the “Best in Show Cake Competition” again this year. All cakes BOT ELECTIONS 2013 will be auctioned as a fundraiser at the end of the day’s programme. Cakes will be judged on size, appearance and ‘Stand up and be counted’ in the smell (strictly no tasting). We urge all families to compete in this section.
