[email protected] TIME TO TELL YOUR STORY – HOW YOU BECAME A DRAGON BOATER 2012 will see not just the London Olympic Games but a World Dragon Boat Championship returning to Hong Kong, , when the 8th Club Crew World Championships will be held on the famous Victoria Harbour course, the birth place of modern Dragon Boat Sport, 36 years after the very first Hong Kong International Races (HKIR) took place there in 1976. 2012 will also mark the 21st Anniversary of the founding of the IDBF during the 1991 HKIR and so to acknowledge the role played by Hong Kong the IDBF intends to publish the story of the development of dragon boating from a cultural activity in China to a modern competitive sport now enthusiastically pursued in nearly 70 countries and territories world wide - and that is where you come in.
