Ever since her parents left her as a baby, little Annie (Quvenzhané Wallis) has led a hard-knock life with her calculating foster mother, Miss Hannigan. However, all that changes when hard-nosed billionaire and mayoral candidate Will Stacks () takes her in on the recommendation of his advisers (Rose Byrne, ). Stacks believes that he's Annie's guardian angel, but the plucky youngster's confidence and sunny outlook may mean that Annie will save Will instead.

Colour me in! The Lead Characters Pick a character and follow their character journey (arc) throughout the film.

Annie Annie is a young, happy foster kid who's also tough enough to make her way on the streets of New York in 2014. Originally left by her parents as a baby with the promise that they'd be back for her someday, it's been a hard knock life ever since with her mean foster mom Miss Hannigan..

Miss Hannigan In contrast to the 1982 depiction of Miss Hannigan, 's version is less evil but carries a deep burdon of sadness from a failed brush with Fame in the 90's. It is this weight that appears to make Hannigan spitefyl, and uncaring. Although we cannot help but notice... she isn't quite as uncaring as she tires to make out.

Will Stacks Jamie Foxx's depiction of Stacks replaces our 1982 Oliver (Daddy) Warbucks. Although still a man of wealth and status. When Will was 12 his father passed away so he never really got to know since his dad worked 20 hours a day. Because of this, Stacks became a hardworking man that thought relaxing was a waste of time. Will does have a soft side but he never would have found it had not Annie come into his life. Answer these questions as your chosen character (Annie, Miss Hannigan or Will Stacks)
