Starting 16 August 2018, the API will report based on PM2.5. As of 11.00 am today, no stations recorded ‘unhealthy’ level (API>100), 62 stations recorded ‘moderate’ level (API between 51-100) and 2 stations recorded good air quality level (API < 51). 3. Preparations and Action Taken (In addition to Box 3, please summarise preparations and actions taken in response to the current situation, and provide feedback on recommendations from the ACC) At National Level a) A special meeting was held on 20 August 2018 and chaired by the Honourable Minister of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change to further strengthen the preparation and coordination on managing the local fires at national level and local levels through implementation of national open burning action plan b) The peatfires in Johan Setia Klang and in Permyjaya in Miri were fully extinguished and reduced the impact of local haze. At Regional Level a) Malaysia delegation attended the 20th Sub-Regional Technical Working Group / Ministerial Steering Committee (TWG/MSC) on Transboundary Haze Pollution on 31 May to 1 June 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand. 11.
