Twila Carter Executive Director - Astros Foundation SVP Community Affairs

Twila Carter enters her fourth season as Executive Director of the Astros Foundation and Senior Vice President of Community Relations. She made the transition to baseball in 2011 with Jim Crane’s purchase of the Astros franchise and has worked with The Crane Group in various capacities since 1998.

Prior to her current role, Twila served as the project manager for many of the recent Minute Maid Park renovations, including the Diamond Club, Union Station, Astros team stores, Astros Clubhouse and the Community Leaders Program. Twila has overseen the development of numerous projects for Crane Capital Group, including the building of the Crane Worldwide headquarters which opened in April of 2012.

Twila has held numerous elected and appointed positions with several service and community organizations. She was named 2016 Inspire Women’s Business of the Year, 2014 Kingwood Women of Achievement for Community Service and received the 2013 State Community Service Award from the Texas Daughters of the American Revolution. Janet Pope is currently leveraging 10 years of consulting experience working with executive leadership teams to develop strategies for supporting the implementation of collaborative solutions to expand the reach of Diversity & Inclusion initiatives at Capgemini. Responsible for continuing to cultivate a culture of inclusion by developing, leading, and implementing workforce D&I strategies that align directly with the business strategy, corporate values, and overarching goals.

With a background as a Technology Transformation consultant, Janet brings a perspective to D&I based the business value derived from access to information and data. Miriam Winsten Social Responsibility Director Schlumberger

Miriam is responsible for Schlumberger’s sustainability filings, annual report and oversees social responsibility globally. She previously was responsible for introducing the latest Schlumberger technologies to the oil and gas industry marketplace and developed the Schlumberger intern program with the University of Houston’s Bauer School of Business’ Sales Excellence Institution. She also recently managed a team to develop an interactive exhibit at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum called “Offshore Drilling: The Promise of Discovery”, that highlights the evolving processes and technology used to explore and produce oil and gas in the offshore environment.

Before her current role, Miriam held various management positions. She served as the Global Accounts Manager for Schlumberger and recently served as the Data & Consulting Services North Gulf Coast Operations Manager where she supervised a diverse team of Schlumberger experts in geological, geophysical and engineering consulting, as well as data services, geomechanics, borehole seismic, and engineering solutions. Miriam joined Schlumberger in 2001 and has more than 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including developing deep water and unconventional plays.

Prior to Schlumberger, Miriam taught Geology and Chemistry at the University of Findlay, as part of their Hazardous Materials Management Program. She began her career with Marathon Oil in 1982, where she was responsible for prospect generation, evaluation and exploitation, as well as field studies for onshore and offshore shelf and deep-water areas in the Gulf of Mexico. Miriam holds a B.A. in Geology from the University of Binghamton, and a M.S. in Geology from Bowling Green State University. Krish is a Director, Social Responsibility & HES-Latin America and Business Development for HES & SR, OOG/Occidental Petroleum Corp. (OPC). He manages and provides strategic and technical direction for OPC’s Social Responsibility (SR), including SR Program implementation, development of SR activities, SR Investments, SR Performance, SR Reporting, internal and external stakeholder engagements. Krish coordinates with Business Units for the SR and Human Rights Programs. He also provides technical guidance, resource support, and compliance review for program, policy, and management system implementation related to health, environment, and safety (HES) matters for Oxy’s Latin America operations. He provides HES-related support to the Business Development group for assets acquisitions and divestitures.
