When long-term care facilities are included, the number of COVID-19 patients decreased 8.7%. We are pleased to see a second day of steep declines. In addition, new COVID-19 admissions were down to only 28 patients yesterday. We also saw the number of critical care COVID-19 patients decrease by 22 yesterday. Reminder: Don’t Forget to Vote for Joe Simunovich Hackensack Meridian Health is proud to announce that the late Joe Simunovich, former Co-Chair of Hackensack Meridian Health Board of Trustees and Chair of Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University, has been nominated to the New Jersey Hall of Fame. This is a tremendous tribute to Joe, who played such a vital role throughout our history and left a rich and accomplished legacy that has benefitted our team members, patients and our communities. Reminder: Benefit Offering Extensions The following benefit offerings have been extended through June 30: Benefits coverage from day one for new hires Medical plan COVID expenses paid at 100% Zero co-pay for behavioral health services with an in-network mental health professional during a qualified telemedicine visit Convenient Care - telehealth services per diems/non-benefit eligible team members (benefit eligible team members will continue until December 31, 2020) Ability to make changes to FSA/HSA/Dependent care accounts Home delivery for prescriptions through our in-house pharmacies Relaxed rules around submission of grades for tuition reimbursement New: Team Members in Action & Community Support Last month, HMH’s IT Division team members contributed $5,689 that was used to purchase meals from Jersey Mike’s that were distributed to frontline workers at our hospitals to thank them for all they did during the Covid-19 pandemic. Huge thank you to the IT Division for these incredible contributions! Right & Below: Madison Square Garden and Chase partnered to feed local “Home Team Heroes” – first responders, health care workers, and researchers – on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hackensack Meridian Health was chosen to receive a generous donation of 200 meals in special recognition of the contribution of our researchers to the overall response to the health crisis. Meals were distributed to the research staff, scientists and support personnel of our combined research enterprise at the Center for Discovery and Innovation (CDI), David Joseph Jurist Center for Research, Jersey Shore Medical Center, and JFK Medical Center on Wednesday, June 10th.
