PRESENTATION OF AWARD KOFI ANNAN

In honour of the illustrious son of Ghana, H.E. Mr. Kofi Annan, the United Nations Secretary General, for winning the Nobel Peace Prize for the year 2001, the Ghana Post Company Limited (GPCL) has produced commemorative postage stamps depicting the following:

• H.E. Mr. Kofi Annan with H.E. President J. A. Kufour at Award Ceremony. • H.E. Mr. Kofi Annan holding his Citation and Nobel Medal. • A portrait of Mr. Kofi Annan. • H.E. Mr. Kofi Annan being honoured at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

2. Also produced in honour of Ghana's illustrious son is a plaque depicting the stamps.

3. On this festive occasion, it is my pleasure to deliver to H.E Ghana's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, through the Hon Minister of Foreign Affairs, packs of stamps and plaques for onward delivery to H.E Mr. Kofi Annan . 4. Meanwhile another set of the packs meant for presentation to H.E. The President has been duly delivered.
