Lr.Rc.DT (Port)/ 2441/2015, dated 27.10.2015. 2. Govt. Memo No.661/Ports.I/2015,E,I&I (Ports.I) Department, dated 10.11.2015. 3. From Director of Ports, AP., Kakinada Lr.No.DoP,/ D7/798/2008,Dt.12.11.2015. 4. From the Secretary, Energy, Infrastructure and Investment Department, Single File No.661/Ports.I/2015, dated 08.11.2015. ---o0o--- O R D E R: Government have constituted Special Area Development Authorities for certain priority areas under the aegis of the Andhra Pradesh Urban Areas (development) Act, 1975 which will help in achieving special objectives of orderly growth and environmental up-gradation in such areas. These areas are either special investment zones, special tourist areas or an exclusive ecological area with emphasis on protection and conservation as per environmental norms. 2. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has a vision on Sagara Mala and Port Policy. According to the policies each port on the coast shall have a Costal Economic Region with Jurisdiction over land use planning and development in Port proximal area surrounding 10 km to 30 km radius of the port. 3. The Department of Ports, Andhra Pradesh, Kakinada has procuring land for development of Machilipatnam Deep Water Port and for industrial Corridor. The Region witnesses tremendous growth in the domains of industries, Imports and Exports etc., It is a pride worthy thing that Machilipatnam Municipal Corporation, and 28 villages with an extent of 426.16 Sq.Kms (Acres 105306.34 Cents) and population of 2,41,207 as per 2011 census which are growing urban centre in the region. 4. In the reference 4th read above, the Secretary Energy, Infrastructure and Investment Department has sent proposals to the Municipal Administration & Urban Development Department for declaring the Machilipatnam Area Development Authority (MADA) for a total area of 426.16 Sq.Kms. comprising Machilipatnam Municipal Corporation, 28 Revenue Villages i.e including villages of Machilipatnam Mandal (27 villages) one village in Pedana Mandal in Krishna District as a Area Development Authority to achieve the objectives of the region witnesses tremendous growth in the domains of Industries, Imports and Exports etc., 5. Government, after careful examination of the issue, and in exercise of powers conferred under section 3 – A of the Andhra Pradesh Urban Areas (Development) Act, 1975, have decided to notify the areas for a total area of (P.T.O.) :: 2 :: 426.16 Sq.Kms. stretching from Machilipatnam Municipal Corporation, 28 Revenue Villages i.e including villages of Machilipatnam Mandal (27 villages) one village in Pedana Mandal in Krishna District as proposed by the Infrastructure and Investment Department as given in Appendix-I and constitute the Machilipatnam Area Development Authority (MADA) as given in Appendix-II. 6. The Area Development Authority shall function from Office in Machilipatnam Town with the support of its staff. The expenditure towards establishment and other secretarial assistance shall be completely borne by MADA. Initially, the Area Development Authority shall functioning for the grants of Development Fund and Revolving Fund. Later, the Area Development Authority shall function their own revenue. 7. The modalities for Development of lands, Preparation of Master Plan and Zonal Development plans, Acquisition and disposal of land, Inspection and penalties etc., shall be followed as per the provisions of Andhra Pradesh Urban Area (Development) Act 1975. 8. The appended notification will be published in an Extraordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated:01.02.2016. 9. The Commissioner of Printing, Stationery and Stores Purchase, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad is requested to supply 100 copies of the Extra-ordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette.
