Pharia Values 2013-2014 PhARIA values 2013-2014. This index is current for the period 1 July 2013 until 30 June 2014 Please note that while every effort has been made to include suburbs, some will be listed under the major locality name. Therefore, if you cannot find the name of your suburb then you should search for the name of the city that suburb is a part of. As the PhARIA is standardised within metropolitan areas, the suburb will have the same PhARIA category. • Playing Rugby for Jordanhill College Rugby Football Club 1958
Playing Rugby for Jordanhill College Rugby Football Club 1958 - 1966 John Henderson ‘The Boot’ Remembers Playing Rugby for Jordanhill College RFC ‘The Boot’ Remembers When I first matriculated in October 1958 at the Scottish School of Physical Education, Jordanhill, Glasgow to undergo a three year diploma course of training in order to qualify as a teacher of Physical Education, I had no idea that some years later my senior rugby career would turn out to be as creditable as it did. Although I knew then that I was a very accurate and lengthy instep place-kicker of a rugby ball, I was under no illusion that my getting a place in the Jordanhill College Rugby Football Club top squad would be easy, nor did I have any notion then that retaining a first choice spot in the 1st XV for a good number of seasons might possibly occur. However, I was aware of the fact that graduating from College was not the end of the opportunity to play senior rugby for Jordanhill, as former students as players were not only considered eligible, but were also deemed essential in order to maintain a fighting chance for coach Bill Dickinson‟s side to compete at the highest levels possible in Scotland. Thus time was on my side, if only I was patient, and prepared to work hard at the game. But first I had, during my student days, to convince mentors Bill Dickinson and George Orr of my potential, and then, if this was accomplished, to provide consistent proof thereafter of my continuing value as a full back/three-quarter and place kicker in the top side in its annual attempts to win the Scottish Unofficial Club Championship and the Glasgow District Knock-Out Trophy.

  • Building Blocks 2021 Illawarra Shoalhaven
BUILDING BLOCKS A PRACTICAL APPROACH TO INFRASTRUCTURE AND LAND SUPPLY Illawarra and Shoalhaven Edition August 2021 UDIA BUILDING BLOCKS NSW ILLAWARRA & SHOALHAVEN Message from the CEO Steve Mann UDIA NSW CEO The Illawarra Shoalhaven is at a crisis point as we face a rapidly decreasing supply of serviced land for development. The critical shortage of greenfield housing extends throughout the region and is having a major impact on deteriorating housing affordibility. House sales have seen up to a 50% lift beyond market expectations and we are well ahead of projected lot releases. This is the result of a combination of factors including record low interest rates, regional migration, government home purchase incentives and COVID-19 induced demand for space. Our 2018 UDIA NSW Building Blocks report proposed several enabling infrastructure projects for the Illawarra Shoalhaven to support greenfield housing in the key urban release areas. Over the past three years, not much has changed. In-migration is increasing, as people look for regional housing solutions out of Sydney. Whilst there have been lots released in West Lake Illawarra and apartment development in the Wollongong CBD and Kiama township, the pace of development is not keeping up with demand and house prices continue to climb. Over the past 12 months, we have seen house prices rise by more than 20% in Shoalhaven and 12% in Wollongong. Kiama now has an average house price of $1million. In June 2021, the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces released the Illawarra Shoalhaven Regional Plan 2041 and in August 2021, Transport for NSW (TfNSW) finalised the Illawarra Shoalhaven Regional Transport Plan.

TAAXI FARE MONITORING ANNUAL REPORT 2014-15 Regional and Country taxi zones November 2015 An appropriate citation for this paper is: Essential Services Commission 2015, Taxi Fare Monitoring Annual Report 2014-15, November. ESSENTIAL SERVICES COMMISSION. THIS PUBLICATION IS COPYRIGHT. NO PART MAY BE REPRODUCED BY ANY PROCESS EXCEPT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE COPYRIGHT ACT 1968 AND THE PERMISSION OF THE ESSENTIAL SERVICES COMMISSION. MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRPERSON As part of the recent reforms to the taxi industry, taxi fares in regional and country Victoria have been deregulated. Taxi service providers (operators and networks or co- operatives) are permitted to set their own maximum fares, which must be notified to the Taxi Services Commission. The Essential Services Commission has a new role in monitoring taxi fares in the Victorian regional and country taxi zones. Our role is to monitor prices, costs and return on assets, and to identify potential misuse of market power. Monitoring recently deregulated taxi fares is a complex task, requiring a significant amount of information and data. To minimise the regulatory burden on the industry, we have adopted an approach which makes use of publicly available information and data. Specifically, we have developed a taxi cost index to estimate the changes in the costs of providing country and regional taxi services. We then compare changes in notified maximum fares against changes in the taxi cost index. For the first year of deregulation, 2014-15, we observe large increases in taxi fares by some service providers. These increases significantly exceed our estimated change in taxi costs.

  • Impact Cratering
6 Impact cratering The dominant surface features of the Moon are approximately circular depressions, which may be designated by the general term craters … Solution of the origin of the lunar craters is fundamental to the unravel- ing of the history of the Moon and may shed much light on the history of the terrestrial planets as well. E. M. Shoemaker (1962) Impact craters are the dominant landform on the surface of the Moon, Mercury, and many satellites of the giant planets in the outer Solar System. The southern hemisphere of Mars is heavily affected by impact cratering. From a planetary perspective, the rarity or absence of impact craters on a planet’s surface is the exceptional state, one that needs further explanation, such as on the Earth, Io, or Europa. The process of impact cratering has touched every aspect of planetary evolution, from planetary accretion out of dust or planetesimals, to the course of biological evolution. The importance of impact cratering has been recognized only recently. E. M. Shoemaker (1928–1997), a geologist, was one of the irst to recognize the importance of this process and a major contributor to its elucidation. A few older geologists still resist the notion that important changes in the Earth’s structure and history are the consequences of extraterres- trial impact events. The decades of lunar and planetary exploration since 1970 have, how- ever, brought a new perspective into view, one in which it is clear that high-velocity impacts have, at one time or another, affected nearly every atom that is part of our planetary system.

  • Hydro 4 Water Storage
TERM OF REFERENCE 3: STATE-WIDE WATER STORAGE MANAGEMENT The causes of the floods which were active in Tasmania over the period 4-7 June 2016 including cloud-seeding, State-wide water storage management and debris management. 1 CONTEXT 1.1 Cause of the Floods (a) It is clear that the flooding that affected northern Tasmania (including the Mersey, Forth, Ouse and South Esk rivers) during the relevant period was directly caused by “a persistent and very moist north-easterly airstream” which resulted in “daily [rainfall] totals [that were] unprecedented for any month across several locations in the northern half of Tasmania”, in some cases in excess of 200mm.1 (b) This paper addresses Hydro Tasmania’s water storage management prior to and during the floods. 1.2 Overview (a) In 2014, Tasmania celebrated 100 years of hydro industrialisation and the role it played in the development of Tasmania. Hydro Tasmania believes that understanding the design and purpose of the hydropower infrastructure that was developed to bring electricity and investment to the state is an important starting point to provide context for our submission. The Tasmanian hydropower system design and operation is highly complex and is generally not well understood in the community. We understand that key stakeholder groups are seeking to better understand the role that hydropower operations may have in controlling or contributing to flood events in Tasmania. (b) The hydropower infrastructure in Tasmania was designed and installed for the primary purpose of generating hydro-electricity. Flood mitigation was not a primary objective in the design of Hydro Tasmania’s dams when the schemes were developed, and any flood mitigation benefit is a by-product of their hydro- generation operation.

Xiao Lin Li Date: 12/10/2013 ii Abstract Abstract Biofouling increases frictional resistance and slows the water flow in fresh water canals and pipes. It results in up to 10% reduction in the flow carrying capacity in hydropower canals in Tasmania, Australia. This project investigated the effect of colour on the growth of biofouling in open channels and the impact of biofouling in pipes and penstocks. The effect of substratum colour on the growth of biofouling was studied by submerging mild steel plates painted with four different coloured epoxy coatings in fresh water. The plates were placed in a concrete lined canal for a period of time to allow biofouling to grow. Results show that black was the favoured colour for the growth of biofouling whereas the white plates developed the least amount.
