YES, OMG.

We’re still not over the fact that is on the Decadence lineup. Some of us entered the scene through Sonny More and we truly are excited he’s coming back into festival season full force. From his hiatus from the festival spotlight, why are we so excited about Skrillex at Decadence AZ this year?

Skrillex at Decadence AZ And The EDMDaycare Team

From all of the EdmDaycare, we are genuinely excited to see Skrillex coming back. All of us have been influenced by Skrillex or anything he’s contributed to the EDM scene. A couple of us have some stories as to what made us get into Skrillex.

Our videographer, Michael Toscano has been closely following Skrillex since 2012.

Back when I worked at Spencer’s, they would play Skrillex’s hits on the radio. At the time, I wasn’t really into the genre but I started to listen to more and more of his music and then became a big fan instantly. My first time seeing Skrillex was and it’s all history from there. I’m so excited to see him return.

For one member on our team, AJ, it will be her first time seeing Skrillex live. She said the following about Skrillex:

When you listen to an artists music for so long, it’s surreal to finally see that artist. I’m feeling an overwhelm of excitement because it’s nostalgic. It’s nostalgic because this will be my first festival on the West Coast along with my friends and fam. So, thank you Skrillex for bringing me into the scene.

For lead contributor Lexi Williams, Skrillex has been on her playlist since high school from when he was in .

Skrillex was a main part of my emo phase and brostep phase. The first time I witnessed his set was Mysteryland 2016 and I could not tell you the amount of emotions I felt. His music got me through some tough times and I’m excited I get to see him again after all this time.
