The ‘Dogs will then close out the weekend with a 2 p.m. VMI at UNCG * 7 p.m. game against Chattanooga on Sunday, Oct. 13. Chattanooga at Mercer * 7 p.m. COMING UP ETSU at Furman * 7 p.m. The Bulldogs will take the final road trip of the regular season next weekend, traveling to Western Carolina and ETSU. The ‘Dogs will play the Catamounts Oct. 13 Chattanooga at The Citadel * 2 p.m. at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, and the Bucs at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20. Western Carolina at Furman * 2 p.m. THE HISTORY WITH SAMFORD ETSU at Wofford * 2 p.m. Samford holds a 12-1-1 all-time record over the Bulldogs, including 9-1-1 in regular-season SoCon games and 5-0 in Charleston. The Citadel’s lone Samford at Mercer * 6 p.m. win in the series, a 3-2 victory, came back in 2013. The two sides worked to a scoreless, double-overtime draw in 2011. Last season, the two teams met in the second round of the 2019 Southern Conference Women’s Soccer Championship with No. 1 seed Samford claiming a 1-0 victory after Caroline Orman scored in the 49th minute. SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS FROM BIRMINGHAM Samford enters the week with a 6-2-5 overall record, including a 3-0-1 mark in Southern Conference play and 2-1-2 away from home. The Bulldogs have won three straight and have earned a positive result in six straight matches, including a 3-3, double-overtime draw at Auburn on Sept. 15. The Bulldogs’ last victory in Charleston came in THE CITADEL 1-2 5-4-2 2010, while the last victory overall in the series came in Chattanooga in 2014.
