An official Census 2011 detail of Kamareddy, a district of has been released by Directorate of Census Operations in Telangana. Enumeration of key persons was also done by census officials in Kamareddy District of Telangana.

Kamareddy has been carved out of . It is bounded by Nizamabad district on the North, and Sircilla district and on the East and South East directions respectively. It is bounded on the South by Sangareddy and Medak districts and on the West and South West by the and of and states respectively.

In 2011 Kamareddy had population of 974227 of which male and female were 479192 and 495035 respectively. In 2001 census, Kamareddy had a population of 879373 of which males were 438634 and remaining 440739 were females. Kamareddy District population.

Literacy Rate:

Average literacy rate of Kamareddy in 2011 were 48.49 compared to 39.7 of 2001. If things are looked out at gender wise, male and female literacy were 57.1 and 39.4 respectively. For 2001 census, same figures stood at 51.19 and 28.27 in Kamareddy District. Total literate in Kamareddy District were349132 of which male and female were 224550 and 124582 respectively.
