PUMPKIN CARVNG

Saturday, October 27, 2018 A few days before Halloween, we got together to carve four pump- kins that we placed on the windowsills of the Dundas dining room. We each got one pumpkin to carve ourselves, and the fourth pumpkin was a collaboration between several people, making a truly unique experience! What a wonderful way to get into the Halloween spirit!

My Trip to Barbados

By: Jeffrey

When I was living with my Dad, in my early years (I might have been about thirteen years old) my Dad and I went on a trip to Barbados in the Caribbean. We had to fly over a Caribbean ocean to get there- it was really pretty seen the ocean. It was very nice of my Dad to take me to Barbados. We met some really nice people there. While I was there, my Dad and I saw people limbo dancing- I wanted to participate but I was too shy. Our hotel was near a golf course where we stayed and we actually went golfing. While we were there, we went to town, played on a few slot machines and went to a few restaurants. We even played tennis while we were in Barbados! The weather was very nice while I was down there. They had beautiful palms trees and the people there were very nice. It was well worth going to Barbados. I would definitely do it again.

My Trip to California

By: Jeffrey

When I was about 9 years old, my Mom and I decided to visit my aunt and cousin in Palm Springs, California. While we were there, we went to Disney Land. My aunt took pictures of us with the Dis- ney characters (like Goofy, Daisy Duck and Mickey Mouse etc.) and went on rides such as Pirates of the Cove, Small World (After All) and the Twisty Cup ride- it was really fun! I even got a Disney Land record while I was there. It was a great experience for me. During our stay, my mom and I went golfing. My uncle who also lives in Palm Springs was part of a golf club and we had a tour of his golf course while we were there. The weather was so beautiful down there, they had very beauti- ful palm trees. We did however experience a small earthquake, but luckily everyone was okay. We even celebrated my birthday dur- ing our stay. It was a great trip and a memora- ble birthday!
