As the Year is coming to an end, we look forward to usher the arrival of the . This year, the Rat will arrive on 4th Feb 2020 at 1718Hrs. The previous Rat was an Earth Rat in 2008, so this coming year we will have a Metal Rat.

The Rat is the first in the 12 animal cycle. For this reason, 2020 is considered as a year of new beginnings and renewal. This is a great year for new evolutions. New trends will be set and lifestyles will meet new challenges.

The Chinese will be celebrating their annual new year on 25th January 2020, to welcome the traditional Spring festival. This Lunar New Year is also considered a ‘blind year’ because the actual Li-Chun立春 only arrives on the 4th Feb 2020 .

Based on the Chinese Hsia Calender, this year is symbolized by the two characters : Yang Metal H7 (庚) over Yang Water Rat E1 (子). Metal is supporting the Water below. It appears to be a more harmonious year as compared to previous years.

Forecast for Year 2020 Rat

This year, be prepared for more continuous rainfall and the hazard of rising sea-levels. The strong Metal and Water may trigger earth disasters over the Northeast and Southwest regions. There may be possibilities of land-slides and soil erosion, so please be mindful of activities such as mountain climbing and driving along mountainous highways.

Metal supports Water, which means productivity and activity for Metal industries. You need to follow your goals with determination and confidence.

Rat is also a ‘Flower of Romance’ star. This means that it is a good year for singles to activate their romance sector.

Rat is in conflict with those born in the year of the . According to Chinese belief, you can seek blessing from the Grand Duke (Tai Sui) of the year 2020 also known as Lu Mi ( 卢秘大将军 ).

At the macro level: we look at the Four Pillars of the Year.

Looking at the Four Pillars of the year, all the 5 elements, Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal are present.

There is only 1 Wood (寅E3) support at the month branch. 3 Earth (戊H5, 己H6 and 丑E2) which further drains the weak Fire. The 2 Metal (庚H7 and 酉E10) also weakens the Fire support.

If we assume the Fire element to represent the stock market. The money aspect for Fire is Metal. This situation also reflects speculation in the stock market is not advisable. If you intend to speculate in the stock market, be patient and wait till May or June.
