SUMMER 2008 Okay loyal listeners, here’s the scoop... Due to a technical misfire, which can be attributed to yours truly, The Blues part 2 which was to air in late June will not be available. Instead, it will air in September when we launch our second season of The Irrelevant Rock & Roll & Music Show. Krafty and I will return “full on” to the internet air waves on September 14th with a slew of new features and the launch of The Official Classic Rock Alternative Track Jukebox. In the meantime, feel free to enjoy some of our previously recorded shows – all of which are available as MP3 downloads. During the summer break from audio recording, I, J Hoskins, will be soldiering on by writing a weekly blog for anyone who still wants to tune in to find out what’s happening in the ever churning world of Rock and Roll. I’ll be including a great selection of recent releases we weren’t able to get to in the first season, including the likes of Opeth’s “Watershed”, Judas Priest’s “Nostradamus”, as well as Paul Weller’s “22 Dreams” and Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida”. Not to mention a couple of cool concerts on the immediate horizon. That should all be up and running some time around mid-July, just in time to give you a recap of the Robert Plant and Alison Krauss concert which will be rolling through our fair city. Also, Krafty will be checking in from time to time, supplying us with an ongoing diary of the horrors and trials and tribulations of being a commercial DJ. And before we sign off, a special message to any bands out there who want to get on our Off the Radar spotlight in our 2nd season: Please send us your albums so we can let other people out there know how great you are!! Let The Irrelevant Rock & Roll & Music Show help sell your tunes. At the same time, check some of our great past Off the Radar inductees such as The Revered Johns, Common Rotation and Fidget. Until then, keep rockin’ and keep listening to all the great music out there! Some of it may a little hard to find, but the reward when you stumble on that lost musical gem is always worth the effort. Have a great summer!
