Describe site Ararat Marz Attachement 1: location Site Map_[x]Y [IN Who owns the Community/State land? Description of Project area is located in the Ararat marz of Armenia. The section starts from geographic, the beginning of Arevshat community and ends at the end of Abovyan physical, community. It passes through the southem slopes of Geghama mountains. The biological, relief of the designed road is foothills. Altitude marks varies between 910m and geological, 975m.The relief is erosion-bare, represented by diagonal erosion mountains of hydrographic upper Neogene (N23-Q3) Medium Quaternary em. Among relief types, there and socio- are widespread badlands. economic Soils are mountainous- steppe ones represented by mountainous-brown dry context steppe soils. -The section is located in the landscape-hydrological zone of Azat-Arpa river The average water flow is 2.5-5.0/sec. per 1 km2. The construction site is located in 1 Climatic zone. Weather in summer is hot ano dry and weatherin winter is cold windless. Annual average air temperature 11.7 oC. Average temperature in the coldest month -4 OC. Average temperature in the warmest month 25.50C. Absolute maximum temperature in summer 430C. Minimum temperature in winter -290 C. Annual average wind speed 0.8 m/sec. Annual precipitation 238 mm. Maximum depth of soil freezing 4 1cm. There are two communities - Arevshat and Abovyan - situated along the road to be rehabilitated. The number of main population of the Arevshat community is 2468 people (from which about 52 % are women) and in Abovyan community is 1550 people (from which about 50% are women). The rural municipality of Arevshat community is located just at the beginning of the project mad. Along the whole road to be rehabilitated there are private houses. There are no mullistore buildings along the road. The private houses are mainly from one to two store. In Abovyan the school is located at km 1+100. Near the school there is a shop. At km 0+850 there is an another shop and at km 0+018 there is a car wash. There is an access ramp at km 0+880 with 120 m length to the rural municipality which is included in the rehabilitation works either Locations and Water to be supplied for construction works will be delivered to construction distance for sites in tanks or provided from a source for which the Water Use Permit is material issued to allow water intake. Aggregates will be obtained from the licensed sourcing, providers located within the project area. Contractor may also extract especially aggregates; in this case contractor must obtain an extraction license prior to aggregates, commencement of extraction. Asphalt will be purchased from an official water, stones supplier.
LEGISLATION Identify national Environmental permits required for accomplishing the works envisaged by the & local project. legislation & >o Construction license to be possessed by Construction Contractor, permits that > Construction permit to be obtained by the Construction Contractor from apply to project rural municipality, activity > Mining license to be possessed by Construction Contractor in case it operates a borrow pit, > Agreement for disposal of construction waste to be obtained by Construction Contractor from Head of Community.
