The protagonist of the story is Clarissa Fray, but she prefers to be called Clary, a normal teen- aged girl whose world changes upon meeting Jace Wayland and his “siblings” – Isabelle Lightwood (Izzy) and Alexander Lightwood (Alec). 15-year old Clary Fray goes to a club called Pandemonium club with her childhood best friend, Simon Lewis. She saw a bunch of strange- behaving but attractive teens that are Shad- owhunters. Curious, Clary followed them and witnessed them killing a demon. The next day, Jocelyn delivered shocking news to Clary that they were moving to the country. Clary, upset by the shocking news, leaves home and ignored her mother’s continuous phone calls. She saw one of the teens whom she had seen at the Pandemonium club called Jace Way- land who told her privately about Shadowhunters and his world. When Clary finally answered her mother’s phone call, her mother warns her not to go home no matter what. The call ended abruptly. Disregarding her mother’s instructions, she went home in search for her mother and found a demon. When killing it, she suffered injuries in the process. Luckily, Jace followed her and took her to his home. The trio went back to the Institute and found out that Jocelyn’s real maiden name is Fairchild and that Valentine wants the Mortal Cup. Isabelle, receiving an invitation to Magnus Bane’s party went to the party with Alec, Jace, Simon and Clary. Through Magnus, Clary discovers the truth about her birth and who she really is. I would highly recommend this book because I find it highly enter- taining and extremely captivating. The mythical and alluring Shadow World would definitely draw you in, as it did to me. “The Fault In Our Stars” is written by the author John Green. This story centres around a girl named Hazel Grace Lancaster who is an average teenager that has lung cancer inside her body. Basically, Hazel is in the Support Group, when Augustus entered the scene. They soon be- came best friends and Hazel shares her favourite book, An Imperial Affliction, with Augustus, and together they obsess about the unsolved ending. Augustus manages to somehow get through to the author of Imperial Affliction and invites Hazel to Amsterdam to discuss the ending of the book. Hazel is over the moon about the whole idea, but first she has to convince her parents and her sceptical doctors. Eventually, they manage to go to Amsterdam and take off with Ha- zel's parents in tow. They had a very beautiful and romantic time, but it is all ruined when they meet Peter Van Houten who is a mean drunk and doesn't answer any of Hazel's questions. Hazel gets angry and upset, but Augustus kisses her, confessing his love for her. Augustus than realised he hasn’t have enough time to live and dies soon later. When he dies, Hazel is shocked and filled with grief. At the funeral, she's shocked to see that Peter Van Houten is there. She talks to him and realizes that he wrote An Imperial Affliction because he had a daughter who died of cancer. She's no closer to liking Van Houten as a person, but she understands a little more why he's so tortured and crotchety. At the very end, Hazel learns from Lidewij that Augustus wrote her a eulogy that he sent to Van Houten. The book ends with her reading the eulogy, which states that he hopes that he is happy with the choice and said in the eulogy that he hopes she's happy with the choices she made. Therefore, I really do recommend Fault in Our Stars to watch and read for those who like romance.. Shane Alvarez (1B)

During the rainy season, the surface run-off carries the rubbish along with the strong rain water currents and pollutes the larger water bodies, like lakes and reservoirs. Next, you can also reduce water shortage by conserving water and reusing the water or use a lesser amount for usage. For example, to reuse water, you can use water that has been used for washing rice to water your plants. People wonder why we have to conserve water, but the most obvious answer is that water is needed for survival or for health use. Without water, we may die of dehydration or diseases. Water accessibility plays an important part in our food security, as water is used for agricultural activities such as cultivating rice, the main source of staple diet.
