Government Defeat in Lords on Health Protection (Coronavirus, Local COVID-19 Alert Level) (Very High) (England) Regulations 2020 Wednesday 14/10/2020 On 14/10/2020 the government had a defeat in the House of Lords on an amendment to the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Local COVID-19 Alert Level) (Very High) (England) Regulations 2020: To regret that local authorities lack sufficient resources to implement a test and trace system, that new measures may not sufficiently address rising cases, and to call on the government to provide support to businesses and communities (non-fatal motion). This was defeat number 39 in the parliamentary session.
