Oregon State defeated UTSA, 5-4, on Friday and UC Santa Athletic Director Bob De Carolis Barbara, 3-2, on Saturday. The Beavers advanced by defeating Texas A&M, 6-1, on Sunday. Colors Orange and black Nickname Beavers Super Regional Setup Affi liation NCAA Division I Oregon State will open the best-of-three series Saturday at 4 p.m. PT. Athletics website www.osubeavers.com Postseason History Baseball Oregon State is making its 14th visit to the postseason since the program’s fi rst season in Head coach Pat Casey (19th year) 1907. The Beavers carry a 43-26 (.623) postseason record into the super regional, with the Record at OSU 666-386-4 (19 years) current head coach, Pat Casey, claiming 38 of those victories. Oregon State’s visit is the team’s OSU winning percentage .633 fi fth consecutive, which has extended the program’s record stretch. Oregon State is 6-3 in Career record 837-499-5 (26 years) NCAA Super Regional games and is making its fi fth appearance in one this weekend. OSU won Career winning percentage .626 super regionals in 2005, 2006 and 2007, defeating USC, Stanford, and Michigan, respectively. OSU Radio Beaver Sports Network struck out just 57 times over 14 May games, which is an average of four per game.
