The Beavers were benefi ted in the infi eld by a pair of middle infi elders in Nick Madrigal Starters returning/lost 8/1 and Cadyn Grenier. Both came in as shortstops, with Grenier moving to third base and Madrigal All-conference returning/lost 2/2 manning second for most of the season. On the mound, Bryce Fehmel, who came to the pro- gram as both a pitcher and position player, transitioned to a role in the bullpen and occasional All-Americans returning/lost 0/2 starter. He led the team in wins, the third freshman to do so over the last 10 seasons. The Beavers have posted 17 consecutive winning records in non-conference action dating back to 2000. OSU is 393-142 (.735) over that stretch. Triples OSU set a program single-season record with 32 triples in 2016. It surpassed the previous record of 31 in 2006.
