There were many great moments and achievements, such as: EXCEED AND EXCEL being crowned Champion sire in Australia and his homebred daughter Guelph victorious in four Group 1s. The feats of DAWN APPROACH, flying the flag for NEW APPROACH in carrying the Godolphin colours to win the 2,000 Guineas and the St James’s Palace Stakes. Aidan O’Brien trained the winners of two domestic Classics but he also won two Classic races in Great Britain and was arguably unlucky not to win a third with BONDI BEACH (IRE)(118) being thrown out on appeal having been awarded the Ladbrokes St Leger (G1) in the Stewards Room on the day of the race at Doncaster – worldwide, he trained a total of 17 Group 1 winners in 2015.
