It is not intended to assist any user other than the administering authority in making decisions or for any other (the Fund), to carry out an actuarial valuation of the purpose and neither we nor Barnett Waddingham LLP accept liability to third Fund as at 31 March 2019. INTRODUCTION 1.1 We would like to get your views on future development and planning of Thurrock to 2021. A new system of “Spatial Planning” has been introduced that goes beyond traditional land-use planning and seeks to integrate the various uses of land with the various activities that people use land for. The new spatial plans must involve wider community consultation and involvement and be based on principles of sustainable development. 1.2 The main over-arching document within the LDF portfolio is the Core Strategy. This sets out the vision, objectives and strategy for the development of the whole area of the borough. The Site Specific Allocations and Policies is very important as it underpins the delivery of the Core Strategy. It enables the public to be consulted on the various specific site proposals that will guide development in accordance with the Core Strategy. 1.3 Many policies in the plans will be implemented through the day-to-day control of development through consideration of planning applications. This document also looks at the range of such Development Control policies that might be needed. -

Recommendation(s): 1.1 That SACRE accept this report as an accurate record of its work for the period September 2019 – July 2020 1.2 Requests that the Assistant Director Education and Skills continues to include discussions about RE provision in the scheduled discussions with senior leadership teams 1.3 Requests that the school effectiveness team include a review of schools’ provision for RE and Collective Worship as part of their annual conversations. Specifically, that they consider: o the impact on pupil outcomes of the combination of subjects such as RE, RSE, Citizenship and PSHE o the level of training provided to those teaching RE especially when they have no previous experience of teaching the subject o the impact on pupil attainment of pupils being entered for a GCSE at the end of year 10 o whether or not the amount of time dedicated to RE on school timetables was sufficient for pupils to meet the aims of either the Thurrock Agreed Syllabus or, in the case of academy schools, either the Thurrock Agreed Syllabus or one that is ‘equally broad and ambitious’ as expected by the DfE and Ofsted 2. -

Thurrock Coalition Sport For You Event Report and Recommendations May 2013 Introduction Thurrock Coalition offers advice and support for disabled and older residents of Thurrock and their carers. We are a wide network of individuals and groups aiming to inform people about their rights and entitlements and to improve the quality and choice of services that might assist them. Thurrock Coalition was invited by Senior Officers at Thurrock Council to look into ways of sustaining the interest and momentum behind the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics, focussing upon increasing participation, inclusion and involvement in sports, activities and recreation in Thurrock for individuals of all impairment types. One of the main issues that needed to be addressed was access to information and awareness of: what sport/activity related opportunities are actually available in Thurrock and how people can be encouraged to get involved within the local area. The “Sport For You” event was held in order engage Citizens of Thurrock, parents, carers and families and Council Members Officers and Third Sector groups to explore, map and discuss current and potential future provision of Sport and Activity for Disabled people in Thurrock. Recommendations and Next Steps a) This report will serve to inform the development of networking, information sharing and increased communication between individuals and organisations to improve availability of opportunities for sport and activity for Disabled people in Thurrock. b) Thurrock Coalition will work closely with Thurrock Council’s Sports Council, partners and individuals. c) Thurrock Coalition will help to ensure that the Pledges made at the event are fulfilled wherever possible. -

Heritage at Risk in Essex Register 2010 February 2011 Heritage at Risk in Essex 2010 The Heritage at Risk Register contains details of buildings and Scheduled Ancient Monuments known to be ‘at risk’ through neglect and decay, or vulnerable to becoming so. The 2010 register expands the coverage of the register by including non-listed buildings in Conservation Area and buildings on a local list. It also aims to have a more holistic view on the historic environment in response to new heritage legislation, by promoting the inclusion of Scheduled Ancient Monuments on the register. The objective of the Register is to highlight the plight of these buildings and initiate action towards securing their long-term conservation. In many cases such action would be best brought about by a change of owner, and any individual or group seriously contemplating acquiring a building listed as For Sale in the Register should contact the relevant conservation officer listed under Contact. The Register is not, however, intended as a marketing document and those who wish to acquire an “old building” to restore may be best served by contacting local estate agents. The reasons why a heritage asset becomes ‘at risk’ can be many and varied and whilst each individual case is unique, there are some recurring factors. Wilful neglect and the refusal to repair their buildings are the most obvious cause. However changes in industry, technology, demography and governmental legislation can lead to buildings becoming functionally redundant and at risk. Location can be another cause of a building becoming ‘at risk’. A building may be blighted by its surroundings, through changes in economy or as a result of insensitive development. -
