Press Releases Published Throughout Every Race Weekend Alex Ethier Sponsor Media Kit About Me My name is Alex Ethier and I am a first-year racing driver seeking sponsorship partners. I have recently joined up with Momentum Motorsports, who will be guiding my development as a driver through the coming years. At first I'll be piloting their Formula Continental car, but I'll be graduating to the team's effort in the Formula 4 (F4) Championship in 2017. About My Car My car for 2016 is a Formula Continental, eligible for competition in the F2000 Championship Series as well as countless SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) races across North America. The running costs are low compared to most formula cars, making this one of the most affordable ways to bring your company’s name to the world of professional motorsports. About My Goals My first race weekend (May 13th-15th) will be rounds 3 and 4 of the F2000 Championship at the world-renown Watkins Glen International. I’ll be racing in 2 or 3 more F2000 events this season, and then I’ll be turning my sights to the Formula 4 Championship. My goals for this season are to gain invaluable experience and develop the skills I need to have a successful future career. Sponsorship Details The F2000 Championship is an incredibly competitive series that supports the Formula Atlantic Championship, which brings in great media attention. Series at this level have several press releases published throughout every race weekend. These press releases circulate freely around amateur racing publications and forums, and live timing and scoring is available on the series’ website. In addition, drivers' sponsors are listed on the official entry and results rosters, further maximizing your company's visibility. Considering this will be my first year of competition, I'm offering sponsorship at-cost. To clarify, I'm only looking to offset the costs to get myself and my car on track for each weekend. If you decide a long-term sponsorship strategy is in your best interests, we can delve into the more advanced marketing tools my team and I can bring to the table. That being said, even if our partnership only lasts for one event, you'll still get many of the benefits that come from having sponsored a race car. The world of racing is a tight- knit, passionate community that subsists almost entirely on sponsorship, As a result, everyone understands how precious sponsorship partners are, and they tend to make “racing brands” their first choice. Even one weekend of supporting the sport we all love will build up goodwill and loyalty to your brand. If we come to a sponsorship agreement for this season, I'm prepared to offer sponsorship of my 2017 F4 car at-cost as well. The Formula 4 Championship is an exciting new racing series with direct ties to prestigious global series such as Formula Renault, GP2, and Formula 1 to name a few. Though Formula 4 has captured the media's attention and is very much in the camera eye, 2016 is its very first season, and the F4 Championship will inevitably have some first-year issues: cars breaking down, limiting sponsorship exposure; small grid sizes; broadcasting technical difficulties, etc. Between the experience I'll have gained in 2016 and the F4 Championship having a full year to sort itself out, you'll have a fantastic chance of seeing your car racing competitively in a series being followed all around the globe, and it'll be for the lowest cost possible. The Numbers In the interest of simplifying the sponsorship process, I've come up with several levels of investment based directly on the running costs of my car. All of the packages I've put together represent phenomenal value; especially when compared to traditional methods of advertising. I’ve included some pictures that are color-coded and numbered to the list of packages, to give you a better idea of how visible your logo would be on my car and personal gear. These packages are as follows: 1. Your logo on the top and sides of the car's nose - $15,000/event OR $50,000/year 2. Your logo on the endplates of the front wing -$20,000/ event OR $60,000/year 3. Your logo on the endplates of the rear wing, and on top of nose -$70,000/year 4. Your logo on the mainplanes of the front wing, the engine cover, and my firesuit -$80,000/year 5. Your logo on the side of the cockpit, my firesuit, my helmet, my casual apparel worn during race weekends, and limited access to me and my car for marketing/ promotions -$100,000/year 6. Complete livery of my car and firesuit based on your corporate colors, your logo on my helmet and casual apparel worn during race weekends, and extensive access for marketing/promotions -$125,000/year *Note: Package 6 is not featured in the illustrations, as this would include a complete, bespoke redesign of my car and firesuit. Concept art based on your brand’s colors and logo will be created on request. Regardless of your chosen level of investment, your logo will be displayed proudly and prominently on my car. You will receive full rights to any images containing your logo to use at your discretion. In addition to the many benefits listed above, any full- time sponsors will be featured on my website, hero cards, posters, and other physical media that both parties can distribute freely. All entrants of an RMVR event must be members of RMVR. The President of RMVR, or his delegate, will have the authority to give an honorary membership status to invited participants. Most of the information in this article is found in a history of the Club’s early years written by Fred Wacker some years ago. We also wish to thank Burdie Martin for the loan of his copies of the very earliest issues of PISTON PATTER which are an invaluable source. In the Beginning…… 1948- 1954 The term “sports car” would have meant very little to a vast majority of Americans in the years right after World War II. Then, MG TC’s began arriving in the U.S. and a few people started to take notice. Among them was Fred Wacker, who purchased one of the first little British cars in early 1948. In May of that year, Fred and Bud Seaverns drove the MG to Indiana-polis for the 500. After the race they were caught in the usual traffic jam, and came across Bill Spear and Sam Bailey, a couple of New Yorkers, in a Bentley. A mutual interest in their respective cars led to introductions, and in due course Fred and Bud heard of the “Sports Car Club of America” for the first time. Ownership of a “sports car” was an SCCA membership requirement at that time. Since Fred qualified in that respect, Bill and Sam suggested he become a member of the Club. After joining, Fred discovered there was no Chicago Region.

    ICSCC CONTEST BOARD RULE CHANGE PROPOSALS Proposals for Championship Season 2017 Item Page Section/ YES/NO Club Proposal # # Jurisdiction 30 CSCC 703F Special and/or feature races shall not be scheduled in a manner that E/C interrupts the continuity of the ICSCC championship race program within a race weekend. Special or feature races shall be the last race of the day after all championship / novice races are completed, unless approved by the E Board. Special races may be held on any day of the race weekend. With the exception of ICSCC Novice races, any non-Championship race Pass shall be considered a special race. Championship races shall not be 295/50 shortened to facilitate special races. Lap times from Special Races (i.e Sprint Races) where all competitors from all Championship race groups are able to enter, may count as an additional qualifying time at the Member Club’s discretion. The Race Announcement must make this clear to the driver’s and under no circumstances will a Special Race be the only qualifying session for the Championship race. Rule 714 shall apply, “Cars may be weighed following any timed qualifying session, provided that all cars in the class that participated in the session are weighed.” 57 CSCC 1306 A. Classifications. ICSCC Formula cars will be classified as follows. You are invited to participate in this exciting and competitive series. Your participation can lead to a: • CENDIV Divisional Championship (not all SCCA Divisions have a Championship Series) • Triple Crown Winner; o Divisional Championship Winner, or Conference Champion or National Points Champion and o June Sprints Winner and o Runoffs Winner • Regional Driver of the Year • Regional Rookie of the Year • Additional path to the Runoffs The CENDIV Championship Series is a divisional series made possible through the generosity of our sponsor, TRO Manufacturing. The CENDIV Championship series provides end of the year trophies and event winner decals. In order to begin earning points, series decals must be displayed on the car. There is no cost for the series decals. Series decals will be available at the track with the TECH officials. While SCCA Officials will assist in the monitoring of participants, ultimately, it is the responsibility of all series participants to assure that they have proper stickers on their race cars and that all other series competitors also have the proper stickers on their cars, and to point out discrepancies to event officials. Cars without series decals will be awarded their event finish, but will not accrue points towards the series championship. All races beginning in April and prior to September 12th, 2021, including the six currently scheduled double divisional races, the two Majors races and the Super Tour, determine 2021 SCCA Runoffs eligibility.
