Dress Guidelines
GUIDELINES Students should be neat, clean, and orderly in their dress. Students should also behave in a manner that reflects their professional development. Dress code applies in the Health Science Center during school business hours, 7:30am-5:30pm M-F, and during academic activities including lectures, exams, simulation labs, and clinics.
SCHOOL ATTIRE Men: Dress shirt & tie with dress slacks. Ceil blue scrub top with dress slacks. Ceil blue scrub top & bottoms Women: Blouse or ceil blue scrub top and slacks. Ceil blue scrub top & bottom. *Skirts and dresses are not permitted in the Sim Lab & clinics, but they can be worn elsewhere and must cover legs to the knees when seated
Shoes: Please wear business shoes with business attire. Tennis shoes, mostly white or black and without bright colorings, are acceptable with scrubs. Socks should cover legs when seated for clinical procedures. Hair and fingernails must be neatly groomed at all times. In clinics, hair must be secured and not fall in the operator’s field or patient’s face. Acrylic nails and nail polish harbor pathogens and are not allowed during clinics. Solid white Tees (short- or long-sleeved) may be worn under scrub top, tucked in at the waist.
