Background
Founded in 2012, Mair Asset Management allocates just under a fifth of its total investment portfolio to private equity with a focus on dynamic, developed markets - mainly North America and Western Europe, but also open to opportunities in developed Asia. Also within the private markets sphere, the firm allocates 8.3 percent of its portfolio to real estate, and 2.5 percent to private debt, a market which it entered in 2017.
By September 2019, Avi Mair, founder and chief executive officer, had led the firm's growth to surpass the $25 billion mark.
