Premium Italian Biscotti Cookies Premium Italian Biscotti Cookies Five Generations of Family Tradition 2014 Company Sales Presentation Premium Italian Biscotti Cookies Our Business Summary DiBella Baking Company creates and produces authentic Italian old world biscotti cookies for the growing market of artisan-style baked goods. The DiBella® brand biscotti is becoming the desired Italian biscotti brand from coast to coast that fulfills the needs of all consumer ages that are looking to enjoy an indulgent treat at an affordable price. Premium Italian Biscotti Cookies Our Culinary Passion Since the late 1800s, the DiBella family has taken pride in using only the best quality ingredients because that’s the way our Great-Grandma Josephine would have made them. Unlike other companies that downgrade their ingredients to save a buck, our family is proud and true to our heritage and will never compromise the quality of ingredients or high standards when baking and delivering our old-fashioned authentic Italian biscotti. In keeping with our standards of quality, we believe in homemade style food, unadulterated by artificial additives, sweeteners, colorings, and preservatives… in an effort to strike a reasonable balance between indulgence and health considerations. Our old world values, wholesome ingredients and timeless flavors are why generation after generation love the DiBella® brand biscotti. Premium Italian Biscotti Cookies Our Standards of Quality For us, baking is not just a job – it’s a way of life. SFI certified and 100% recyclable ECO-friendly printing. 100% recyclable vegetable oil-based inks Premium Italian Biscotti Cookies Why DiBella Brand? With a brand that stands for authentic quality, a product line crafted from a century of family tradition, and a national production system with cost-effective scalability, the DiBella® brand has been crafted to take advantage of the fragmented specialty cookie segment. From the beginning, the DiBella® brand and packaging were created to compete directly with national brands like Pepperidge Farm, and Nabisco. However, unlike a similarly structured brand, Nonni's, the DiBella® brand draws on a rich Italian heritage and a premium shelf presence to win over retailers and consumers alike. Biscotto in Italian means twice (bis) cooked (cotto). Biscotti is the plural form of Biscotto. Originating in the Italian city of Prato, the popular Italian cookie traces its origins to Roman times where it was used as a convenience food for travelers. Today, these popular treats are perfect for light dunking into coffee, tea and wine or indulgent snacking. Premium Italian Biscotti Cookies What makes a DiBella® brand biscotti better than other brands? Other Biscotti Brands The traditional Italian biscotti made by companies today is “hard” and “brittle” which can only be eaten when dunked in a beverage (coffee, tea, milk or wine); allowing the liquid to absorb into the biscotti cookie; making it soft enough to eat. A DiBella Biscotti…simply the best! A DiBella® brand Italian biscotti is unlike no other biscotti on the market today. Our authentic Italian secret recipes date back to the late 1800s where our family from Palermo, Italy perfected the unique mixing and baking process, making our biscotti the best you will ever taste! Our biscotti are made the old-fashioned way, just like a “cookie” that can be enjoyed as a snack …anytime of the day or night. Premium Italian Biscotti Cookies A DiBella® brand Italian biscotti “needs no dunking” and can be eaten as: A snack for adults, teenagers, and kids while at home or on the go A snack for employees at work on their break or lunch A snack for students while in school or college A snack for kids; combined with milk, hot chocolate or juice A snack for adults; combined with coffee, tea or wine A snack when traveling by car, airplane, train or cruise ship A snack to share with family and friends A snack combined with your favorite ice cream or desert Perfect for light dunking in coffee, tea, milk or wine A snack anytime of the day or night Great for vending machine snacks Premium Italian Biscotti Cookies Market Trends In 2012, the packaged cookie market in the US generated $6.4 billion in sales. While the top American cookie companies (Nabisco, Keebler, Pepperidge Farm, McKee Food, Lofthouse, Murray, Traditional Baking, Kellogg and Bimbo), battle out for the $4.1 billion mainstream cookie category leadership, the remaining $2.3 billion in specialty cookie business is split between a wide array of lesser, fragmented, unsophisticated, regional brands. This situation leaves a huge void that DiBella is poised to fill. We can rise to the top of the “Little Fish” portion of the market, moving into the role of top specialty cookie by quickly claiming significant chunks of that category. DiBella, via our national distribution network should transition into mainstream, to become the rich, European-style Yin to Pepperidge Farms All-American Yang. Premium Italian Biscotti Cookies DiBella Performance DiBella Sales in 2013 By the end of 2013 after one year in business, DiBella achieved placement in over 10,000 outlets including a permanent airing spot on QVC Home Shopping. In addition, we have distribution in four major airlines plus export to China, Middle East, Mexico, United Kingdom, Germany, Canada and Brazil. Below is a sample list that carry our brand on shelf's and in their gourmet food sections. We are growing in food retailers each and every month. Premium Italian Biscotti Cookies DiBella Financial Strengthen Financial Partner In 2013, DiBella brought in “The Ceson Group” as a main investor, shareholder and board member for providing capital, factoring dollars, operations and accounting support; allowing the company to build multiple baking factories, as well as expand sales & marketing efforts through 22 targeted segments within the Specialty Food Industry. Today, DiBella is well financed to become a major cookie brand, globally. Factory Operations Today, DiBella operates a 25,000 sq. ft state-of-the-art FDA-approved commercial baking facility in Oceanside, CA. This newly built baking facility has been geared for high production output; producing upwards of 100 million biscotti and other cookies, annually. As I was growing up, I remember my mother chatting with friends in the living room, while eating cookies and sipping tea from bone china cups. My mother so treasured her cup and saucer collection that, for birthdays and other special occasions, my father and I would shop for yet another set for her. I cherish what remains of Mother’s bone china, using it when friends come for special visits. It was not until I went away to college that tea became an essential part of my life. Every afternoon my dormitory housemother would brew a pot of orange and sweet, spice-flavored black tea and open her apartment door, inviting us to stop in for a visit and a cup of tea.

  • Favourite Biscuits Name ______Date ______
Favourite biscuits Name ______________ Date __________ Custard Cream named Britain's favourite biscuit February 22, 2010 1:33 PM Crumbs! The humble Custard Cream has been voted Britain's favourite biscuit thanks to being "fun" to eat and a good dunker. The two wedges of biscuit stuck together with a vanilla creamy centre beat delicious dunkers like Hobnobs, Rich Teas and Digestives to claim the top spot. Second in the poll was McVitie's Chocolate Digestive, which was invented in 1839 by two Scottish doctors to aid digestion but became an instant best-seller when chocolate was added in 1925. The Chocolate HobNob was voted into third place and crumbly shortbread - made from one part white sugar, two parts butter, and three parts oatmeal flour – was fourth. The survey of over 6,000 Brits also found that 55 percent of people like to dunk biscuits in their tea… and that it is easier to get Brits talking about their favourite biscuit than anything else. A spokesman for OnePoll.com which carried out the survey said: "Chocolate Digestives have been a firm favourite for years, but they've finally been budged off the top spot by Custard Creams. "The fun is in how you decide to eat it - firstly nibbling off one side, licking the cream centre and finally munching the second biscuity side. "They also withstand prolonged dunking which is so important for a biscuit-loving nation like us. Workers plan their day around them and once we have a favourite, it's hard to stop buying them." • Biscuits, Wafers & Griddle Cakes
Biscuits, Wafers & Griddle Cakes Britain has long been a nation of tea drinkers. For many people a cup of tea is incomplete without a biscuit sidekick. Many of our much loved biscuit varieties like shortbread and digestives are based on recipes formerly baked in the home. Te word ‘biscuit’ has been adopted from the French for ‘twice cooked’.1 Sixteenth-century physician Andrew Boorde believed they could be very nourishing if made with fne four.2 Te varieties cooked in this period ranged from mass-produced ‘hardtack’ or ship’s biscuits given to soldiers and sailors, to fner varieties which included eggs, sugar, spices and rosewater.3 Tat gingerbread evolved into a more crisp incarnation should therefore come as no surprise. Today, the most famous ginger biscuit in Britain is the Ginger Nut. Although sales of Ginger Nuts have fallen in recent years they remain one of McVities most popular every day biscuits.4 Te modern recipe is based on a mixture of golden syrup and granulated sugar, combined with four, butter and ginger. Te resulting biscuit is hard and spicy, leading the Ginger Nut to be described as the ‘Chicken Vindaloo of the biscuit world’.5 Its frm nature does make it great for dunking in a cup of tea, which may explain why the Ginger Nut’s popularity has endured. Mass production of biscuits in the nineteenth century came about as a consequence of the industrialisation of food production. Quaker businessman Joseph Huntley was one of the first manufacturers to exploit these technological advances at his bakery on London Street in Reading.
