RESEARCH SUPPORT NIMH R15 MH113108-01 Goldman-Mellor (PI) 4/01/2017-3/31/2020 “Long-term health of adolescent suicide attempters: Healthcare utilization, morbidity, and costs” This study will use statewide hospital data from California to provide clinically relevant information about long-term patterns of healthcare utilization, morbidity, and healthcare costs among adolescent suicide attempters. The project will also enhance research capacity at U.C. Merced by fostering a new pipeline of student health researchers from underrepresented groups and by creating a significant new data resource for the field of adolescent health. NIMH R15 3R15MH113108-01S1 Goldman-Mellor (PI) 4/01/2017-3/31/2020 “Administrative Supplement: Long-term health of adolescent suicide attempters” This supplement to R15 MH113108-01 provides additional funding to expand the R15’s study population and link death records to the study dataset. NIA R24AG045061 Margerison-Zilko (PI) 7/01/2017-6/30/2018 “Community-Level Determinants of Suicidal Behavior: Preliminary Evidence from California” Goldman-Mellor 4 This pilot grant will examine the association between a range of community-level adversities and self-reported suicidal behavior among adults in California, using population-based survey data from 2015/2016.
