Make immediate assessment related to crisis intervention in order to conduct legally justified removal of endangered children, arrange for immediate medial or other services and determine alternate placement of children. Collects information to complete assessment and investigations. In addition for an investigate case, would observe autopsies with the medical examiner to determine a child's death if necessary. As the TRAC, I supervised three (3) Recreational Therapist Technicians to ensure that rehab services are additionally provided to patients. Duties included coordinating recreational and leisure activities for patients in the skilled nursing facility. Provide required documentation and facilitate group activities. Evaluate and assess new patients with the appropriate goals and activities that they may be able to participate in and to encourage family participation in programs patients may be capable off. Encourage patients to participate in all activities offered in the Recreational Therapy Program. Provide patients and family members with spiritual and emotional support. Coordinate special activities group to provide services to patients. Document daily flow sheets for patients that participate in group activities or interactions provided to bed bound patients. Document Medical Date Sheets (MDS) forms for patients, for Medicaid and Medicare purposes. Work with nurses/nurse aids, physical therapist, occupational therapist and speech therapist to provide services to patient, assist with transfer of patients from bed to wheel chair and wheel chair to bed. Help patients with capabilities to walk around the facility for exercise, based on the recommendation of the Physical Therapist. To lead group activities offered at the Skilled Nursing Facility, such as exercise group, current events, bowling, arts and crafts, puzzle, cooking /baking, parachute, ball toss, bingo, and other adaptation activities offered. From 1996 to 2007, I was able to help the community of Guam as I played dual roles as a Social Worker for DMHSS and as an Advocate for GLSC full time. Compliance Officer/Supervisor As the Compliance Officer for both the Latte Treatment Center and Guma Bethesda, which both facilities are group homes that provide services to individuals with disabilities. It was in my capacity as the compliance officers that appropriate services are provided to the clients. In addition, I supervised and oversaw all the home health care staff who are also known as Psychiatric Technician with the daily services they provide to clients and their interaction with clients. I conducted unannounced spot checks at the group homes to ensure that services are being conducted and checked on reports to also ensure that daily documentations are made. It was my role to oversee both homes/facilities are in compliant with the American Disability Act (ADA). This position was only part time as I was a full time Therapeutic Recreational Activities Coordinator at GMHA.

Conduct outreach, to ensure that the mandates in the grants are met in the Protection and Advocacy for Traumatic Brain Injury (PATBI) program and the Protection and Advocacy for Beneficiaries of Social Security ( PABSS) program by placing ads in Guam's local newspaper, the Pacific Daily News each quarter. Participate in the intake process and make assessment for the best possible route of a case. Work with staff attorney's and other advocates to ensure that services are being provided to client el\gible for Guam Legal Services Corporation programs, Additionally, coliaborate with service providers to ensure that outreach activities take place and conduct training and presentation to the community regarding program services. Wrote Federal Grants for the PATBI program with the Department of Public Health and Social Services and to ensure that the program is compliant with the grant received. Trained other advocates at GLSC who worked under the Protection and Advocacy Programs.
