New contributions to Cerambycidae (Coleoptera) in Cordoba province (Andalusia, Southern Spain) ABSTRACT: Three Cerambycidae are recorded for the first time for Cordoba province (Andalusia, Southern Spain). In addition, other 21 Cerambycidae species records are added to the province. Photographs of the specimens, distribution maps and other ecological data of interest are provided in this work. KEY WORDS: First records, Oberea oculata, Stictoleptura trisignata, Stenurella approximans, ecology, Cerambycidae, Cordoba, Spain.

Plants and insects are in constant interaction. Plants, lacking proper mobility, need insects, among other things, for their fertilization. Insects, on the other hand, use plants as a food source or shelter: place of mating, refuge or nesting. This study is distributed from the dunes of Saïdia (North) to the great dunes of Figuig (Sahara), while passing through the intermediate dunes of the stations of Tendrara and Bouârfa. The entomological stand is dominated by the family Tenebrionidae which is the most represented and well adapted to this type of environment of extreme climatic conditions.

ABSTRACT Study of the characters of the egg in some iberian Cerambycidae and taxonomic interest (Coleoptera). In the present work a comparative study of the egg of diverse Cerambycidae Species which pertain to the different iberian sub-families, is carried-out. The description of the same are carried-out paying attention principally, to the corionic structure and polar re- gions, finding notable differences in these characters, generally among sub-families or even different genres, but also, in some cases, among species which pertain to the same genre. This type of research can lend important help to the taxonomic studies in those species who- se adults present scant morphological differences. On the other hand, the knowledge of the structure of the egg and of the oviposition habits, can allow correct identification of the eggs laid in the Cerambycidae.

Notarbartolo, 54 int. 13 – 90145 Palermo, Italy; e-mail: [email protected] ABSTRACT The woods in Sicily are the result of centuries of anthropogenic activities that have reduced the surface of wood and changed the original composition even with the introduction of alien species to native flora. The value in terms of biodiversity of these forests remains, however, high for they are the last refuge areas for many animals and plant species. This study was conducted within the Ficuzza woods (West Sicily), extended about 5,000 hectares on the slopes of limestone-dolomite rock of Busambra (1615 m asl), within which lies the largest remaining forest area in western Sicily. It is an area with a wide diversity of vegetation, represented mainly by native forests (holm oak, cork oak, deciduous oaks), groups of riparian vegetation, shrubs, bushes, grasslands, and of non-native forest formations (Pinus and Eucalyptus woods). The study on Cerambycidae in this area is fragmented and does not specify a relation the species with the surrounding vegetation. This study was performed by choosing among various groups of insects, xylophagous Coleoptera Cerambycidae; existing literature data and extensive collected field data were reviewed.

This paper presents the results of the study on the Cerambycidae and Chrysomelidae material collected during the “Dakhla” (2012) and “Merzouga” (2013) scientific expeditions, organized by “Grigore Antipa” National Museum of Natural History (Bucharest, Romania) in Morocco. A total of 18 species belonging to 13 genera and 5 subfamilies were recorded. In addition, the general distribution and data about the biology of some species are given. From the strictly Mediterranean species, entered in the collections of “Grigore Antipa” Museum, we mention: Derolus mauritanicus (Buquet), Neoplocaederus caroli (Leprieur), Agapanthia annularis (Olivier), A. irrorata (Fabricius), Macrolenes dentipes (Olivier), Chrysolina viridana chloris (Lucas), C. bankii (Fabricius), Labidostomis hordei (Fabricius), L. taxicornis (Fabricius), Lachnaia paradoxa (Olivier), L. puncticollis Chevrolat, Tituboea sexmaculata (Fabricius) and Cryptocephalus rugicollis Olivier. Lachnaia octomaculata (Pic) is an endemic species in North-Africa (Algeria, Morocco). Résumé.
