Tammie Geldenhuys Vice President Student Affairs, Athletics and Admissions Tammie is in her ninth year as athletic director and 10th year overall at Independence Community College. Prior to moving into the athletic director position in a full-time capacity, she spent the 2008 season as the head volleyball coach, leading the Lady Pirates to an 18-18 season. Tony Turner Assistant Athletic Director Tony Turner is in his 10th year as assistant athletic director at Independence Community College. He also heads into his fourth season as ICC men’s basketball coach after spending the previous several seasons in the women’s program as head coach. During his time with the Lady Pirates, Turner compiled a record of 143-51 and now has the most wins as a coach in ICC women’s basketball history, including the Jayhawk Conference-Eastern Division Coach of the Year award after posting a 30-3 mark and earning a share of the conference title in his second season. Prior to his arrival in Independence, Turner spent one season as the head coach at Allen County Community College. Overall, Turner has a record of 183-75 as a coach at the collegiate level. Turner’s coaching career began at the high school level, where he spent time as the assistant boys basketball coach at Shawnee Heights in Topeka. He later moved to Highland Park High School, where he became the women’s assistant before moving up to the head coaching position. A graduate of Independence High School, Turner was a standout at ICC, where he held the single-season assists record (244) record for nearly 20 years. Through three seasons, Turner has compiled a record of 43-48 with the Pirates. Turner, who also serves as the assistant athletic director at ICC, moved over to the men’s program after spending the previous seven season as the head coach in the Lady Pirate basketball program. In his Southeastern career, Cyprien played in 47 games and helped the Lions to a pair of Southland Conference championships and a berth in the 2005 NCAA Championships. An avid Independence Community College supporter for more than 30 years, Tom Tyler has been serving as a volunteer assistant coach on the bench for the Pirate men’s basketball program for nearly two decades. Tyler started as a fan of Pirate athletics when the men’s basketball team participated in the 1976 NJCAA Tournament in Hutchinson. Since then, he has volunteered his services to the college in several different capacities while also spending time on the Pirate bench. In addition to his duties with basketball, Tyler has also served as an assistant coach in the Pirate golf program, where he was a part of a team that advanced to the NJCAA Division II National Tourna- ment with four straight Region VI championships. Priorr to coming to ICC, she worked as a consultant for Sports Tourss International as the tournament director responsible for game management and recruiting. Taylor Floyd starts her fourth season as assistant women’s basketball coach at Independence Community College. A former Lady Pirate basketball player from 2009-11, Floyd capped off her playing career at NCAA Division I Idaho State University, where she spent two seasons. As a MXQLRUVKHSOD\HGLQJDPHVDYHUDJLQJSRLQWVDQGUHERXQGVSHUJDPH6KHKDG a season-high 20 points and six rebounds against Oklahoma Panhandle and pulled down 23 boards, scored 49 points and had 10 assists for the season. She saw limited time as a senior, playing in eight games and averaging 1.5 points and 0.6 rebounds per game. Floyd spent two seasons at ICC, earning All-Jayhawk Conference-Eastern Division Second Team and All-Region VI Honorable Mention as a sophomore. During that season, she helped the Lady Pirates post a 30-3 record as she averaged 12.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. TAYLORFLOYD Originally from Topeka, Floyd was a 2009 graduate of Shawnee Heights High School, ASSISTANT COACH where she lettered in basketball for four years and volleyball for two years. She was twice named First Team All-City and was Second Team all-league and all-state.

A former Lady Pirate basketball player, Kamri Anderson begins her second season as an assistant coach for the Independence women’s basketball program. Prior to returning to ICC, Anderson spent time as the head girls basketball coach at Carver Middle School and volunteer assistant coach at Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, Okla. Anderson played for the Lady Pirates before earning her Associates Degree of Science in Business Adminstration in 2012. During her ICC career, she was named Second Team All-Region VI as well as Honorable Mention All-Jayhawk Conference-Eastern Division. She went on to play two years of basketball at Oklahoma State University of the Big 12 Conference. A native of Tulsa, OKla., Anderson was an Honorable Mention All-Metro pick by The Tulsa World as a senior in high school. She was selected to compete in the Oklahoma Basketball KAMRIANDERSON Coaches Association All-Star Game. She was chosen as a Second Team All-State ASSISTANT COACH 7RXUQDPHQWSLFNGXULQJKHUMXQLRUFDPSDLJQ6KHKHOSHGOHDGKHUKLJKVFKRROVTXDGWRD perfect 28-0 mark and a second straight Class 5A state title in 2009.
