In Times like These: Every Believer Needs to “HALLE-LU-JAH” Any-How

I. “HALLE-LU-JAH” Any-How: Because of His Great Name

Psalm 113:1, Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD.

In times like those who and trust the Lord will joyfully shout out praises.

Psalm 113:2, Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore.

Weirsbe says “…The name of …tells us Who He is and What He does.

A. Abraham would say…“HALLE-LU-JAH” Any-How to…Jehovah-Jireh (Gen. 22:8-14); God Our Provider

Genesis 22:8, And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.

B. Gideon would have to Say…“HALLE-LU-JAH” Any-How to…Jehovah-Shalom (Judg. 6:24); God Our Peace

Judges 6:23, And the LORD said unto him (Gideon), Peace be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt not die. 24, Then Gideon built an altar there unto the LORD, and called it Jehovah shalom…

C. Israel had to to say…“HALLE-LU-JAH” Any-How: to Jehovah-Rapha (Ex. 15:26); God our Healer

Exodus 15:26, And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

D. David would say with …“HALLE-LU-JAH” Any-How: to Jehovah Chat-sa-hi (Psa. 27:1); God Our Strength

Psalm 27:1, The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

If you Praise God for Who He is you’ll learn to Him to do what He does.

II. “HALLE-LU-JAH Any-How: Because of His HIGHNESS.

Psalm 113:3, From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD'S name is to be praised.

The Greatness of God’s name , universal and eternal praise.

Psalm 113:4, The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.

Every nation their leader, but they don’t honor other leaders above their own.

Praise His HIGHNESS who has the Highest seat of above every nation.

Psalm 113:5, Who is like unto the LORD our God, who dwelleth on high, 6, Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!

Jesus stooped down to endured God’s hostility toward us and our death.

PRAYER: Lord , we often fail to remember how temporary our lives are. We forget that each of us will soon face you before your throne. Grant us the mercy to be mindful of how near that time is. Give us hearts that know the urgency of bringing the gospel to others and believing it ourselves. Amen.

You have made us, O God, for deep, satisfying relationships because you are a relational God. Help me to bring joy into every context through humble attitudes and actions of love. Forgive me for being, at times, self-centered, looking out for only myself. Enable me to think of others first and to show your love toward them. In JESUS name. Amen.
