This is the regular newsletter from Warwick Rural East Safer Neighbourhood Team. Between 01/05/2019 and 31/05/2019 there have been 224 incidents reported to Police and recorded on the forces command and control system for the WRE area. Out of those incidents there were:

• 43 Road related (incl RTC’s, abandoned vehicles and breakdowns) • 6 Anti-Social Behaviour (including neighbour disputes) • 15 Burglaries / Theft • 5 Vehicle Crime • 1 Damage • 25 Suspicious Incident(s) • 4 Alarm(s) • 125 Other

Warwick Rural East Community Forum

The next Warwick Rural East Community Forum shall be held on Wednesday 19-JUN-2019. Location TBC. The meeting will commence at 19:30hrs; doors open at 19:00hrs. Please arrive promptly so that the meeting can start on time.

The Kenilworth Show 2019

On Saturday 8 th June 2019, representatives from Warwickshire Police, Stratford District Council and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Warwickshire attended the Kenilworth Show, held at Stoneleigh Park. Despite the weather we managed to engage with a wide cross-section of Warwickshire’s rural communities and neighbouring counties. Incidents Below is a selection of incidents that have occurred on the Warwick Rural East area during May 2019. Bubbenhall

Attempt Burglary: During Wednesday 29-MAY-2019/Thursday 30-MAY-2019 unknown offender(s) attempted to force entry into a residential property on Spring Hill, Bubbenhall.

Cubbington

Burglary: During the early hours of Saturday 18-MAY-2019 unknown offender(s) burgled a residential property on Dunblane Drive, New Cubbington. Offender(s) stole vehicle keys from within the property. Offenders subsequently stole a white Mercedes A180 (registration ending 68YAJ) and a grey BMW 330A (registration ending 67NUO). The BMW was later recovered in the area. The Mercedes was stopped in the West Midlands area. Three persons were arrested. The incident is currently under investigation.

Burglary: Between 10:00hrs Saturday 25-MAY-2019 and 16:30hrs Monday 27-MAY-2019 unknown offender(s) forced entry into a residential property in Cotton Mill Spinney, Cubbington. Offender(s) stole a white Volkswagen Golf GTI (registration ending 67ANX) that was parked on the drive.

Hunningham

Burglary: Between 18:30hrs Monday 06-MAY-2019 and 08:00hrs Tuesday 07- MAY-2019 unknown offender(s) forced entry into a detached garage at a residential property situated along Long Itchington Road, Hunningham. Offender(s) stole a red Mountfield self-drive lawnmower.

Old Milverton

Burglary: Between 11:30hrs and 14:00hrs Thursday 09-MAY-2019 unknown forced entry into a residential property in Range Meadow Close, . Jewellery was stolen.

Radford Semele

Attempt Burglary: At approximately 03:00hrs Wednesday 01-MAY-2019 three unknown males entered a rear garden via an insecure side gate at a residential property in Godfrey Close, Radford Semele. Offender(s) attempted to force entry into an outbuilding.

Wappenbury

Wildlife Crime: Between 00:01hrs Tuesday 14-MAY-2019 and 14:00hrs Tuesday 21-MAY-2019 unknown offender(s) damaged a number of Dormice nesting boxes in woodland near to Wappenbury. Birds had been nesting in the boxes. A number of dead chicks were found scattered around. Please read the above information re Warwickshire Wildlife Watchers. Theft: Between 18:30hrs and 20:00hrs Thursday 16-MAY-2019 unknown offender(s) stole a black and grey Carrera Vulcan mountain-bike that was secured outside the Sports Centre on campus.

Theft: At approximately 20:00hrs Sunday 19-MAY-2019 unknown offender(s) stole a green Kona pedal cycle that was secured outside the Sports Centre on campus.
