We offer scuba lessons in conjunction with Scuba Schools International (SSI), one of the top dive certification agencies in the world! This globally-recognized certification program is the best way to begin your life-long adventure as a certified scuba diver. Wateree provides personalized training combined with in-water practice sessions to ensure you have the skills and experience required to become truly safe and comfortable underwater. Upon completion of your classroom sessions, pool training, and open water dives, you will earn the SSI Open Water Diver certification.

Complete the initial Home Study and when you are “ready to dive”, give us a call 803.731.9344 and sign up for the next class! A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your space and will give you access to all of the digital materials you will need.

Step 2: Class and Pool Attend class sessions to review the material and practice skills during pool training. At Wateree, we know that diving requires knowledge, skill and experience. Our top-notch Dive Professionals and staff will make sure you learn to dive safely and HAVE FUN! Our “hands on” teaching methods help you get comfortable both in and out the water.

Step 3: Let’s Go Diving! Now you are ready to continue the fun in open water. We will gain experience during several open water dives over a two-day period to review the skills you have practiced in the pool. During the warm Carolina weather, we will dive locally; but during the colder months, we head to sunny Florida to complete your training.

What does the course cost?

Our all-inclusive price of $395 includes class, pool, and open water training; all required educational materials, dive log, dive tables, and certification card; use of equipment including tanks, regulators, buoyancy compensators (BC), weights/belt and wetsuits. You will need to provide your own scuba-quality personal snorkeling gear (mask, fins, booties, snorkel and mesh bag). We offer a full line of quality snorkeling gear to meet every budget with special student packages available.
