In particular we would like to thank Laura Andersen for her editorial help and patience while we tried to put our thoughts to words within the framework of DEQ and EPA’s requirements. In addition we would like to thank the many agency and organization individuals who took the time to review our drafts and discuss details of restoration ideas for Lolo Creek. Included are: Traci Sylte, USFS who provided detailed comments and background on watersheds and beavers; Taylor Greenup, also USFS, who continued to give us encouragement and ideas; Paul Matter, USFS, for discussion and showing us stream-side examples; Shane Hendrickson, USFS, and Ladd Knotek, Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, for help in describing fisheries issues; Todd Klietz, Missoula County Floodplain Administrator, for information on floodplain mapping, gaging stations and for sending the 1912 Missoula Quad map. Missoula Valley Water Quality District’s Peter Nielsen, Travis Ross, Jon Harvala and Michelle Hutchins for taking the time to meet with us to review and comment on our plan as it developed; Tara Comfort, Missoula Conservation District for helping us to understand the 310 law and the conservation district’s role in assisting land owners; Will McDowell, Clark Fork Coalition for helping us to try to simplify and put our thoughts into tables; Katie Gaut and Andy Fischer, also Clark Fork Coalition for monitoring sites on Lolo Creek and sharing
