My role as Senior Director of Passenger Operations includes overseeing the daily operations of passenger operations hosted by CSXT, as well as upholding CSXT’s contractual and statutory obligations with respect to passenger service. I have been involved in the analysis of CSX’s proposed acquisition of Pan Am Systems, Inc. (“Systems”) (the “Proposed Transaction”) since the bid process. Specifically, I have been involved in outreach, coordination, and planning for the integration of the current as well as the proposed passenger services on the PAR System1 and PAS Network. It has been remarked often that the present Boston and Maine Railroad system, with its thousands of miles of tracks extending through several States, resembles in composition a patch-work quilt, as with the exception of a very small proportion, the road consists almost entirely of a consolidation of small railroads formerly independ- ent of the Boston and Maine and of each other. Strange, also, as it may seem to the present generation, the Boston and Maine in its infancy, eighty-five years ago, derived its name and its corporate existence from an amalgama- tion of small branch railroads, which amalgamation was considered by our forefathers as tremendous an under- taking, as the huge consolidations of today, and was looked upon with as much suspicion and disfavor.

    THE STONY BROOK RAILROAD H. Arnold Wilder The 250th Anniversary of Westford, Massachusetts (1979) It is perhaps appropriate at this time, the Two Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of the Town of Westford, Massachusetts, through which the Stony Brook Railroad runs for much of it's length, that the story of the railroad should best be told. The railroad's early coming had a profound effect on the commerce of the town, providing the movement of goods and services to industry along it's rails, and contributing much to the history and growth of an urban community throughout it's one hundred and thirty-one years of corporate life. - H.A.W. A part of these returns are not in strict compliance with the statute 1846, ch. 251, and do not furnish the information required. Appended to this report is a list of deaths and injuries upon the several roads, so far as the returns exhibit the same. The report of commissioners of the sinking fund of the Western Rail- road has been examined and believed to be correct. The committee recommend the printing of two thousand copies of these papers.
