Mall Together Sweepstakes Official Rules Mall Together Sweepstakes Official Rules NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. 1. Eligibility: Mall Together Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open only to legal residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. Employees of Brookfield Properties Retail, Inc. (“Sponsor”), Merkle Inc. (“Administrator”), and their parent and affiliate companies as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules. Sponsor’s and Administrator’s decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. 2. Sponsor: Brookfield Properties Retail, Inc., 350 N. Orleans St. 300, Chicago IL 60654. Administrator: Merkle Inc., 3000 Town Center, Suite 2100, Southfield, MI 48075. 3. Timing: The Sweepstakes begins on September 1, 2021 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET"), ends on October 26, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. ET (the "Promotion Period") and consist of eight (8) weekly entry periods (each a “Weekly Entry Period”) as well as a grand prize entry period (“Grand Prize Entry Period”) that coincides with the Promotion Period, as set forth below. For Weekly Entry Periods 4 – 8: There will be two (2) prizes awarded for Weekly Entry Periods 4 - 8. One (1) prize will be advertised in select Malls and the other prize will be advertised in the remaining Malls. Therefore, you will be placed in one (1) of the available two (2) prize pools based on which Mall you enter through (applicable for Method 4.a) and based on which Mall location is listed on the AMOE postcard (applicable for Method 4.b). Administrator’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Sweepstakes. 4. How to Enter: There are two (2) ways to enter: a. Visit a Participating Brookfield Location: There are forty-two (42) Brookfield locations participating in this Sweepstakes (each a “Mall”); see Appendix A for a complete list of all participating Mall locations. During the Promotion Period and within Mall operating hours, locate and scan the Sweepstakes quick response (“QR”) code featured on signs and posters located throughout participating mall locations with the QR reader application already installed on your phone. You will be prompted the option to enable Location Services. In order to participate in this method of entry, you must be present in a Mall and enable Location Services. After you’ve successfully done so, on your first visit, follow the links and instructions to complete and submit the registration form including a valid email address. For Weekly Entry Periods 1 – 3: You automatically will receive one (1) Sweepstakes entry into the applicable Weekly Entry Period drawing and one (1) Sweepstakes entry into the applicable Grand Prize Entry Period drawing. For Weekly Entry Periods 4 – 8: You automatically will receive one (1) Sweepstakes entry into the applicable Weekly Entry Period drawing for the prize advertised in your Mall and one (1) Sweepstakes entry into the applicable Grand Prize Entry Period drawing. During a subsequent Weekly Entry Period, visit the Mall and scan the QR code to visit the Sweepstakes website and log in with the email address used to register. For Weekly Entry Periods 1 – 3: You automatically will receive one (1) Sweepstakes entry into the applicable Weekly Entry Period drawing and one (1) Sweepstakes entry into the applicable Grand Prize Entry Period drawing. For Weekly Entry Periods 4 – 8: You automatically will receive one (1) Sweepstakes entry into the applicable Weekly Entry Period drawing for the prize advertised in your Mall and one (1) Sweepstakes entry into the applicable Grand Prize Entry Period drawing. b. Enter via the Mail-in Alternate Method: To enter without visiting a participating Mall or scanning a QR Code, hand print your name, address, day and evening phone numbers, email address, and date of birth on a 3" x 5" piece of paper and mail it in an envelope and make sure that the name of your Mall location is written on the outside of the envelope, with proper postage to “Mall Together,” c/o Merkle Inc., P.O. Box 5022, Department 849463, Kalamazoo, MI 49003- 5022. For Weekly Entry Periods 1 – 3: You automatically will receive one (1) Sweepstakes entry into the applicable Weekly Entry Period drawing and one (1) Sweepstakes entry into the applicable Grand Prize Entry Period drawing. For Weekly Entry Periods 4 – 8: You automatically will receive one (1) Sweepstakes entry into the applicable Weekly Entry Period drawing for the prize advertised in your Mall and one (1) Sweepstakes entry into the applicable Grand Prize Entry Period drawing. NOTE: If you do not include your Mall location written on the outside of the envelope, you will not receive your Sweepstakes entry/entries. Limit: One (1) entry per envelope. All mail-in entries must be handwritten and must be postmarked and received by the dates listed above in Section 3. All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and none will be acknowledged or returned. Proof of sending or submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, illegible, misdirected or postage-due entries, which will be disqualified. Limit: You may enter one (1) time per Weekly Entry Period during the Promotion Period for a maximum of one (1) Sweepstakes entry into each Weekly Entry Period drawing (for Weekly Entry Periods 1 – 3) or for your advertised prize pool (for Weekly Entry Periods 4 - 8) and up to eight (8) Sweepstakes entries into the Grand Prize Entry Period drawing. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same email address. Any attempt by any entrant to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods will void that entrant's entries and that entrant may be disqualified. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. In the event of a dispute as to any registration, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed to be the entrant. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Each potential winner may be required to show proof of being an authorized account holder. 5. Drawings: Administrator is an independent judging organization whose decisions as to the administration and operation of the Sweepstakes and the selection Sweepstakes winners are final and binding in all matters related to the Sweepstakes. Administrator will randomly select the potential Sweepstakes winners from all eligible entries received for each applicable Weekly Entry Period, for all participating Malls (for Weekly Entry Periods 1 – 3) or for the participating Malls advertising the applicable prize (for Weekly Entry Periods 4 – 8), on or around the date outlined in the table in Section 3. Non- winning Weekly Entry Period entries will not carry over to subsequent Weekly Entry Periods. Administrator will randomly select the potential Sweepstakes Grand Prize winner, from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period, for all participating Malls, on or around November 5, 2021. The potential winners will be notified by email, mail or phone. Each potential winner will be required to sign and return a Declaration of Compliance, Liability Waiver and where not prohibited a Publicity Release ("Declaration") and possibly a tax form which must be received by Administrator within five (5) days of the date notice or attempted notice is sent, in order to claim his/her/their prize. If a potential winner of any prize cannot be contacted, fails to sign and return the Declaration or provide any other requested information within the required time period (if applicable), or the prize is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner forfeits his/her/the prize.
