Canon Camera Gear Canon FTb QL (in nylon carrying case) Serial Number 592971 with Canon 50mm f1.4 lens Serial Number 79666 and nova 81A protective lens with lens cap. notes:- The Canon FT QL is a 35mm single-lens reflex camera introduced by Canon of Japan in March 1966. It has a Canon FL lens mount compatible with the large range of FL series lenses. The FT can also operate the later Canon FD series lenses in stop-down mode, but the earlier R series has a different lens aperture mechanism and cannot be used, although the bayonet fitting is similar. The standard kit lenses were Canon's 50mm f/1.8 ; 50mm f/1.4 and 58mm f/1.2, the body-only option was offered later. The FT QL and its sisters were an important step for Canon, leading to a number of improved versions such as the FTb and the full professional camera system the F-1. The lens flange ring was turned to lock the lens onto the camera flange's bayonet lugs. The lens flange and camera flange did not rub against each other like today's lens mounts.The camera used Super-Canomatic lenses which had a fast, fully- automatic diaphragm. A 130-degree winding trigger at the camera bottom enabled quick film advance. An external selenium exposure meter could also be attached. Canon R-serie Canon Flex RP September 1960 To cut costs, the camera had a fixed, eye-level pentaprism viewfinder. This was the economy or "Populaire" version of the Canonflex. The self-timer was operated by a simple lever, and the pentaprism cover was part of the single-piece top cover. Other features and performance were the same as the original Canonflex. Canon R-serie Canon Flex R2000 September 1960 Deluxe version of the Canonflex. With a top shutter speed of 1/2000 sec., the fastest ever for any camera, the R2000 was a high-performance 35mm SLR. PRACTICAL POLICE PHOTOGRAPHY BOB McMICKEN Preface This is the book that I started to write thirty years ago. Now retired after forty years as a deputy sheriff, private investigator and executive on the security staff of a Fortune 100 company, always with a camera close at hand, I have the time to write the book that I wanted to write way back when. There are plenty of books on police photography. However, most of them were written either before digital or at a time when digital cameras were underpowered and prohibitively expensive. While this book glosses over some of the more technical aspects of police photography, it covers a multitude of practical details that aren't mentioned in the traditional books. My early mentors were Captain Grant Ilseng of the Harris County Sheriff's Department, Bennett Cook of the Burns Detective Agency, Axel Hansen of the Southern Pacific Railroad legal department and Virgil Green of the Foley's (now Macy's) security department. I received most of my training as a crime scene investigator from Texas A&M Extension Service instructors and pathologists on the staff of the Harris County Medical Examiner's office. I received valuable advice and assistance from Hayden Baldwin, Larry Barksdale, Robert Cheeseman, Deanna Glaze, Stacey Brownlee, Dr. Patrick Besant-Matthews, George Reis and Dr. Austin Richards, among many others.
