  • Katalog Over Canon-Samlingen Til Thor Andresen Canon R-Serie Canon Flex Mai 1959
Canon Katalog over Canon-samlingen til Thor Andresen Canon R-serie Canon Flex Mai 1959 The top-class 35mm camera market gradually shifted from rangefinder cameras to single-lens reflex cameras. The major reason was that SLRs could handle close-ups, photomicrography, duplication work, and other applications without being constrained by the limits of rangefinder camera lenses. When Canon introduced the Canonflex, its first SLR, there were already eight SLR models on the market. The Canonflex used a high-quality, breechlock lens mount. The lens flange ring was turned to lock the lens onto the camera flange's bayonet lugs. The lens flange and camera flange did not rub against each other like today's lens mounts. The camera used Super-Canomatic lenses which had a fast, fully- automatic diaphragm. A 130-degree winding trigger at the camera bottom enabled quick film advance. An external selenium exposure meter could also be attached. Canon R-serie Canon Flex RP September 1960 To cut costs, the camera had a fixed, eye-level pentaprism viewfinder. This was the economy or "Populaire" version of the Canonflex. The self-timer was operated by a simple lever, and the pentaprism cover was part of the single-piece top cover. Other features and performance were the same as the original Canonflex. Canon R-serie Canon Flex R2000 September 1960 Deluxe version of the Canonflex. With a top shutter speed of 1/2000 sec., the fastest ever for any camera, the R2000 was a high-performance 35mm SLR. Other than that, it was the same as the original Canonflex.

Carl Zeiss, 32, Wagnergasse, Jena, Germany. ((1847) also: 29/II Dorotheen strasse 29, Berlin, Germany. (1901) and 29, Margaret St, Regent St, London W (1901) The founder, Carl Zeiss (1816-1888) was born in Weimar, the son of a cabinet maker and ivory carver. He graduated from school in 1834, qualified to be apprenticed to the Grand Dukes Instrument maker, Dr Koerner, and attended academic courses as well as working as apprentice. Next he travelled from Jan. 1838 to Oct. 1845 to study in Stuttgart, Darmstadt, Vienna, and Berlin to broaden his experience. Back at home, he studied chemistry and higher mathematics. By May 1845, he felt well enough qualified to apply to the County Administration at Weimar for permission to found "An establishment for the production of advanced mechanical devices", hoping for a relationship with the University to advance designs. Money was tight with capital of 100 Thalers (possibly £100) only, but in Nov. 1846, he opened at 7, Neugasse. It remained a small business for years, as it took some 20 years for the University relationship to be productive, and he often grew weary of the trial and error methods traditionally used in the trade. Much of the production was of microscopes- often relatively simple ones by modern standards, such as dissection viewers. Then in 1863, a young lecturer Ernst Abbe (1840-1905) joined the University to teach physics and astronomy. Zeiss approached him in 1866 for cooperation in the design of improved systems and this lead to new ideas, eg in the Abbe refractometer (1869), a comparator and a spectrometer.

(516) 248 -5200. ~ BRONICA DELUXE ("0") The Bronica Deluxe, or "0" model was the first camera introduced by Zenza Bronica. As the forerunner of an unbroken series of 2% square SlR cameras, it incorporated many design features still not found on competitive equipment after more than 16 years. The Deluxe is easily recognized by the following key features: 1. Focusing mount integral part of body. 2. No advance crank on right side. 3. Focusing scale on upper part of advance/focus knob. 4. Speed dial on outside face of advance/focus knob. 5. Self-timer scale on left side of body. 6. Double exposure dial on right side of body. 7. 3 stud male bayonet fitting on bottom of camera body. 8. Focus lock lever on right front of body. The Deluxe has double exposure capability, shutter speeds to 1/1250th second, a 2 - 10 second self-timer which also allowed timed long expo sures of 2 - 10 seconds and a locking lever to lock the camera's focusing mount at any desired point. All small bayonet mount Auto-Nikkor and Zenzanon lenses fit the De luxe, as well as all five "5" series prisms and hoods. The S2A grips, however, will not fit due to the bayonet fitting on the camera base, and a special tripod adapter #81502 was required to use either of these grips. 2 BRONICA "S" This is the second model introduced by Bronica.
