2020 Formula 1 Heineken Portuguese Grand Prix, Sunday Renault DP World F1 Team scored six points from the Heineken Portuguese Grand Prix with Esteban Ocon eighth and Daniel Ricciardo ninth at the first race in Portugal for 24 years. The double points finish means the team moves onto 120 points to remain fifth in the Constructors’ Championship and six points from third place. An action-packed race start saw Daniel move up to eighth after an early battle with the Red Bull of Alexander Albon, whilst Esteban was caught in a melee for the final points scoring position. As predicted, light rain was ever present during the race, but it was never heavy enough to alter proceedings. With grip levels consistently low, Daniel was the first to box with his Soft tyres wearing down rapidly forcing him to pit on lap 14 for fresh Mediums. With Daniel dropping towards the rear of the field having pitted early, Esteban - on the alternate strategy - completed 53 laps on his Medium tyres and was the last to make a first stop. By the time of his stop, Daniel, had scythed his way through the field with others stopping and was safely inside the top ten and in a battle for eighth with Sebastian Vettel. A slightly slow stop for Esteban meant he re-joined just ahead of his teammate, and despite having strong pace on the Softs for the final fifteen laps he was unable to make any major inroads on the cars ahead. Esteban crossed the finish line in eighth position, with Daniel just behind in ninth making it a double-points finish for the team. -

(Issue: 1); May, 2020 ARTS & TECHNOLOGY IN THE MARKETING MIX: THE FERRARI WORLD TOURISM EXPERIENCE IN ABU DHABI Esekong Andrew-Essien, Ph.D Department of Theatre, Film & Carnival Studies University of Calabar, Calabar, Nigeria Abstract The functions of arts have long grown beyond the realm of aesthetics to diversified utilitarian roles. In some parts, this evolution was fast-tracked and has been sustained by technology, which is often engaged to simplify processes of production and to enhance value and access to artistic products. In this paper, the art and technology binary are evaluated in the context of marketing of products to tourists at Ferrari World, a popular tourist attraction in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. To theorize the use of art and technology in tourism marketing, the paper uses Butler’s Tourism Area Life Cycle Theory, which illustrates the stages of development of tourism products, and from the domain of Marketing, the paper uses Michael Porter’s Five Forces Model to evaluate the intensity of competition, profitability and attractiveness of products and ideas. Case studies are drawn from the architectural layout, products on display, service schedule and the performances at Ferrari World. Analysis is done towards finding the exact points of connection between the arts and other elements of the marketing mix; the subsisting strength and weaknesses of the Ferrari World concept, the impact on patronage, and the sustainability of the art and technology marketing plan. PRESS RELEASE // FEBRUARY 2018 MCLAREN – RICHARD MILLE RETURN ON THE 55 YEARS OF EXISTENCE OF A F1 CHAMPION Luxury Swiss watch maker Richard Mille return on the history of one of the greatest Formula One racing team : McLaren. Today second most successful team in the championship history, the british company founded by New Zealander Bruce McLaren has set mutiple records during its life. Return on 55 years of success. A HIGH SPEED RISE Although he initially intended to a sports career, his heart goes to an other famous sport in his home country : rugby. After an injury he gets interested with great success towards automotive sports. He mades his competitives debuts in 1958 and quickly establish himself as an amazing motorcycle driver. One year later, aged 22 years and 80 days, Bruce McLaren becomes the youngest ever racer in the history of Formula One to win a race : the United States Grand Prix. McLaren M2B THE EARLY STAGES OF MCLAREN In 1963, while still involved in the Cooper racing team, the champion founds the Bruce McLaren Motor Racing. It’s only in 1966, that he creates his own racing team and design his first F1 with the young engineer Robin Herb. Named M2 B, this vehicle will be presented this year at Rétromobile. McLaren competitive debuts aren’t successful nonetheless the ranking of the team at the end of the season is saved thanks to motorisations upgrades and a victory with a Ford GT40 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
