The planned Tianjin rail transit network consists of 4 commuter lines (520km) and 18 urban lines (695km) totaling 1215km. Based on passenger flow characteristics, Metro Lines 5 and 6 are combined into a loop to facilitate the formation of a multi-center city and a complete "loop + spoke" rail network while making rail transit become the backbone mode of transport in the city proper. -
