Treviso, June 2015: DeLclima, through its subsidiary Climaveneta, supplied the air conditioning units to the Baptist University in Hong Kong, for a total of 11 chillers and 10,7 million HKD profit (about 1.2 million Euro) divided into 3 different projects. Established in 1956, the Hong Kong Baptist University has over 50 years of experience in providing broad-based and creativity-inspiring education. In the last years the HKBU started a green program to improve the energy performance of its locations by renovating the M&E systems to save energy, while simultaneously providing better comfort to the students. The first step of this program has been to replace the existing HVAC units at the HKBU School of Chinese Medicine, a 9 floor building composed of laboratories, offices, meeting rooms, a clinic, and museum. 2 DeLclima TECS2/SL-CA and 1 screw type chiller have been installed, respectively manufactured at the Climaveneta HQs and Cimaveneta Chat Union production plants. After the installation of the new units the university started a monitoring system based on the real operating log to have a complete energy analysis of the new system. After one year of data collecting the results show that HKBU saved at least 25% in electricity costs and increased the building’s COP by 70% (coefficient of performance), with an estimated payback period for the air conditioning units of 2.5 years. The excellent results encouraged the University to keep replacing the old HVAC units.

The facility will provide an attractive location for technology driven and knowledge intensive business to develop and compete in the global market. The focal point of the Hub will be to provide state-of-the art facilities to attract domestic, regional and global companies to locate business, research and developmental activities within the Park, and promote technology based innovation and entrepreneurship. The facility includes a HIV Research Lab run by the Ministry of Health in partnership with Baylor, Harvard, and the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a data center and engineering floors. The building has been designed to save energy and be as efficient as possible. The roof design of the Botswana Innovation Hub incorporates large overhangs to passively shade the building’s interior volume, mechanisms to collect and re-use water, and both passive and active photovoltaic systems to harness solar energy. Treviso, January 2015: DeLclima, through its subsidiary Climaveneta, supplied one ERACS2-Q/SL- CA/S 2222 INTEGRA unit and one TECS2/SL-CAE/S 0512 unit to “350 Euston Road”, part of Regent’s Place mixed use development in London. 350 Euston Road is a 924 sq ft grade A office building in London, owned by British Land and managed by Broadgate Estates. This property has already achieved significant energy reduction targets and has been recognised as a best-practice example for energy savings by several independent institutions. Recent research carried out by British Land, Broadgate Estates and Climaveneta on the building studied the application of DeLclima multi-purpose INTEGRA technology versus chiller and boiler systems and the challenges of fitting this technology into an existing, fully let property. In order to ensure transparency and quality of results, the University of Padua - Department of Industrial Engineering and Studio Planning has been involved, respectively as an independent research institution and as a qualified building services engineering consultancy with great experience in innovative heat pump applications. A comprehensive energy model was developed to simulate how the building operates. All actions and prospective results have been designed on the real heating and cooling needs of the building and are measured against a baseline which represents an excellent energy efficient office building in Central London. The research demonstrated a 34% energy and 38% carbon reduction against the existing system.
