(This should be considered in conjunction with complementary long-term existing relationships with netball and cricket competitions.); (c) investigate how demographic shifts, changes in sport and entertainment preferences and other social changes are impacting on participation in country based football; (d) identify the effects that the decline in the number of rural Australian Football clubs is having on country towns including whether other sport and recreation clubs/activities are meeting community social needs in towns where the Australian Football clubs have ceased to function; * The Parliamentary Committees Act 1968 was repealed and replaced by the Parliamentary Committees Acts 2003 which became operative in December 2003. iii (e) identify the impact that specific costs are having on rural Australian Football associations and clubs. The costs to be investigated (but not necessarily restricted to) include insurance, local government charges and pricing policies, player payments and water availability and cost; (f) recommend actions that peak football organisations (administrators, leagues and clubs) might consider undertaking to support the future success of country football and participation in sport in regional and rural Victoria. The Committee is required to report to Parliament by 30 September 2004. A senior social including a slide show and ice cream treats will follow graduation rehearsal. • June 11 Eastview’s first graduation will be held at 7:30 in the Eastview High School Stadium, weather permitting. • June 11 Following graduation, parents will host the all-night senior party. Mid-Term Progress Reports Quarter three report cards were distributed to students during homeroom on April 16. Quarter four mid-term progress reports will be distributed to students in each class on Monday, May 10. No Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held for quarter four, but parents should feel free to contact teachers regarding student progress.

    AFL Victoria Player Points System Policy January 2020 1 AFL VICTORIA PLAYER POINTS SYSTEM (PPS) POLICY 1. Objective of the Community Club Sustainability Program and PPS Policy The Community Club Sustainability Program (CCSP) subcommittee believes that equalisation of community football competitions is vital for community football. Even and fair competitions lead to interest, which leads to bigger crowds, which leads to stronger clubs and competitions. Even competitions allow supporters and club volunteers the chance to turn up on any given match day with the knowledge that the outcome of the game is uncertain and that their team is a chance of winning. This mindset motivates people to become and remain engaged with their community club and provides rewards and recognition to all those that assist in putting a team out on the field. The philosophy of competition equalisation is accepted in sports all around the world. Professional sporting bodies have accepted practices such as drafts, salary caps, and the like in order to help competitions ensure competitiveness and club sustainability. The objectives of the state PPS Policy are as follows, to: 1. support equalization of community football Competitions; 2. ensure teams fielded in the Competitions are strong and as equally matched as possible; 3. provide the best opportunities for players to develop and display their skills; 4. provide opportunities to compete at a community level within an orderly and fair system; 5. enable team spirit and public support; 6. encourage community and corporate sponsorships of Community Clubs; 7. reduce the inflationary nature of player payments to assist clubs survive financially and reduce financial burden/stress on Clubs; 8.

Eight sets of twins have been born in the Ballan area within the past year, prompting the creation of a new playgroup in the town to cater for the demand. Moorabool Shire Council Mayor, and soon-to-be- grandfather, Paul Tatchell, said the twins created a need for a playgroup close to home - so the Ballan Multiples Playgroup was born! “Multiple births can give added challenges to families, and playgroups are a great way for parents to meet others and share their experiences,” he said. Cr. Tatchell appeared live on the breakfast TV program Sunrise on Thursday July 16, where he had co-hosts Samantha Armytage and Natalie Barr in fits of laughter over Ballan’s recent “bumper crop”. “There’s been a fair bit of humour around the town in terms of the cold weather and why we’re having all these twins, but ultimately everywhere we go we appear to be seeing double,” he said. “We’ve had unprecedented growth externally and now it appears we’re having it internally. I think a lot of people are appreciating that peri-urban regions provide great liveable space for families and children, a safe place to grow up and it creates a community atmosphere which is fantastic,” he said.
