Key infringement cases and referrals to the Court a) The Commission opened 31 new infringement cases against Belgium in 2018. These, and other major ongoing infringement cases, include: x non-compliance with the Decision on the use of the 470-790 MHz frequency band in the Union1; x non-conformity of national transposition measures with the Directive on the recognition of professional qualifications2; x incorrect implementation of EU rules on chartering and pricing in inland waterways transport3; x failure to comply with the Court of Justice judgment on the evaluation of rental income from immovable property4; x failure to adopt a national programme for the implementation of spent fuel and radioactive waste management policy compliant with the requirements of the 5 Radioactive Waste Directive ; x failure to comply with the nitrogen dioxide (NO2) limit values set by the Air Quality Directive6; x failure to adopt noise maps and action plans on environmental noise7; x non-communication of national measures transposing the o Payment Services Directive8; o Insurance Distribution Directive9; o Nuclear Safety Directive10; o Directive on security of network and information systems11; o Directive on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies12; o Directive on certain permitted uses of certain works and other subject matter protected by copyright and related rights for the benefit of persons who are blind, visually impaired or otherwise print-disabled13; o Data Protection Law Enforcement Directive14; o Directive on the limitation of emissions of certain pollutants into the air from medium combustion plants15; o Directive on the reduction of national emissions of certain atmospheric pollutants16. b) The Commission referred one case to the Court under Article 258 TFEU.     Facts and Records History of Badminton In 1873, the Duke of Beaufort held a lawn party at his country house in the village of Badminton, Gloucestershire. A game of Poona was played on that day and became popular among British society’s elite. The new party sport became known as “the Badminton game”. In 1877, the Bath Badminton Club was formed and developed the first official set of rules. The Badminton Association was formed at a meeting in Southsea on 13th September 1893. It was the first National Association in the world and framed the rules for the Association and for the game. The popularity of the sport increased rapidly with 300 clubs being introduced by the 1920’s. Rising to 9,000 shortly after World War Π. The International Badminton Federation (IBF) was formed in 1934 with nine founding members: England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Denmark, Holland, Canada, New Zealand and France and as a consequence the Badminton Association became the Badminton Association of England. From nine founding members, the IBF, now called the Badminton World Federation (BWF), has over 160 member countries. The future of Badminton looks bright. Badminton was officially granted Olympic status in the 1992 Barcelona Games. Indonesia was the dominant force in that first Olympic tournament, winning two golds, a silver and a bronze; the country’s first Olympic medals in its history. More than 1.1 billion people watched the 1992 Olympic Badminton competition on television. Eight years later, and more than a century after introducing Badminton to the world, Britain claimed their first medal in the Olympics when Simon Archer and Jo Goode achieved Mixed Doubles Bronze in Sydney.

    2022 Lakeside WDF World Championships – Seniors – Qualification Criteria Men and Women • The Men’s 2022 Lakeside WDF World Championship shall be made up of 48 players • The Women’s 2022 Lakeside WDF World Championship shall be made up of 24 players • The qualification period for both tournaments shall be January 1 2020 to December 6 2021 inclusive • Invitations shall be sent to all players following the conclusion of the 2021 WDF World Masters The following criteria shall be used to determine which players shall receive an invitation to play in the 2022 Lakeside WDF World Championships. Players shall qualify in the order detailed below. MEN’S QUALIFICATION CRITERIA Men that play in the 2022 PDC World Darts Championship shall not be eligible to play in the 2022 Lakeside WDF World Championship. 1a).
