There aren’t many one-day club runs where you have to factor in a fuel stop or two. The latest BreakFast Club run was no exception. Six members/cars met up at Pheasants Nest service station for what became an 850km journey down and around our Nation’s Capital. Club Torque 13 CANBERRA Adventure to Forbes and Parkes

On a beautiful sunny morning a group of 17 enthusiastic starters in 9 cars headed off in convoy up the past Yass, before branching onto north to Boorowa. After a relatively short run, we arrived at the Superb Bakery in Boorowa for a life-saving coffee and assorted edibles. Fully re-fuelled, the group retraced its steps a few kilometres to the Harden turnoff leading to Young and Grenfell. We then took a small detour to see the memorial marking Henry Lawson’s birthplace, before pressing on to Forbes. Shortly after midday, we arrived at McFeeter’s Motor Museum in Forbes where we lined our cars up on the forecourt for a photo opportunity. 18 members left Glenbrook in glorious weather for our run over the Mountains to Mudgee to meet up with members from the Canberra Chapter and visit the Mudgee Food and Wine Festival. We collected our upper mountains members along the way with Robert Kai joining the run at Wentworth Falls followed by a quick stop at Blue Mountains Mazda to pick up Donelle and Chris. BYO morning tea revealed goodies galore at our regular stop at Lake Wallace. On the road again and we headed off to Mudgee via Kandos and Rylstone towards our lunch destination at the Blue Wren Winery.
