Outlast Newsletter
Hello – With the first quarter of 2013 underway, we have many positive developments in the works to strengthen our brand positioning and continue to bring more products to market that feature the proactive benefits of our technology. We've rolled out our new brand identity that includes a refreshed logo. The new design pays respect to the strength and success of the Outlast brand as the global leader in phase change materials (PCMs) for the past 22 years, while encapsulating our relentless push for technological innovation in our field. To support this, our R&D team has introduced the world's first-ever polyester fiberfill with Outlast® technology - a development ideally suited for comforters, sleeping bags, jackets, etc. Outlast® Polyfill brings polyester fiber into the 21st century. Additionally, our partnerships continue to expand on the apparel front with a new women's boot to be introduced later this year from Papillon International. We're also working with Spanish company LS2 on new motorcycle racing helmets, as well as Ripzone™ on their line of Trilogy™ snowboarding jackets that will be lined with Outlast® technology for the 2013/2014 season. Our continued success, as always, is due in large part to our partnerships and relationships around the globe and everyone involved in our operations that contribute to expanded product offerings and applications. Warmest wishes to all of you in the New Year. Sincerely, Michael Coors CEO, Outlast Technologies Papillon International Introduces Women's Riding Boot - Fall Preview! We've partnered with Papillon International to bring to market women's riding boots for the fall 2013 season, featuring Outlast® technology in the ankle and foot lining, and the sock footbed. -

May 2015 As I write, our president Brendan Smith is still in Europe enjoying the sights following his competing in the Scottish Six Days Trial. It seems that the SSDT was even tougher than usual this year, especially in the early part of the week, with Tuesday’s circuit being rated by many as being the toughest day in living memory. A combination of a very long circuit (around 100 miles), tough sections, terrible weather and a tight time allowance resulted in substantial time penalties for many riders. Unfortunately for Brendan, after surviving the day, a mechanical failure put him out on the Wednesday morning, but his Victorian riding companion Tim Lewis made it to the finish. Congratulations to both riders for their great efforts. I am sure that the SSDT bug will have bitten them and they will both be back for another attempt in the future. -
The Provision of Off-Road Driving Sites
The Motoring Organisations’ Land Access & Recreation Association The Provision of Off-Road Driving Sites First published: November 2019 LARA Document: 2019.11.04 © LARA 2019 You can find LARA at www.laragb.org and contact us at [email protected] LARA Document 2019.11.04 The Provision of Off-Road Driving Sites 1/5 Introduction This LARA Document was originally published in January 2016 as a part of Motor Sport Events in the Countryside. Good Practice Guidance for Event Organisers & Land Managers, the current version of which may be found on the LARA website at https://laragborg.wordpress.com/publications/ This paper is a brief overview of the subject, and good advice is to be found in the various Refer- ence Documents listed below, which explain why some sites succeed while others fail. 1. ‘Off-road driving sites’ largely fall into three categories: • Motor sport event sites – which include permanent race tracks like Brands Hatch and the wide range of permanent sites at which organised events take place. The bottom end of this category would be something like a moto-cross track on a farm, where the track itself is a permanent feature, although the land is grazed between events. Motor sport events sites might be owned by commercial enterprises, by motor sport clubs (comparatively uncommon) or by, typically, farmers, who allow access by licence or lease. In general, there is no ‘public access’ to the use of these sites. Control rests with the site owners and event-organising clubs. • Motor sport practice tracks. Bar a few such sites owned by clubs, these sites are op- erated by the small business sector. -

MODERN ENDURO Mike Lafferty
MODERN ENDURO ary Enman, a 15-year-old hare scrambles racer from Bangor, Pa., admits that he wasn’t sure what to expect when he started enduro racing. “For the most part, I didn’t have any idea what I was doing when I lined up for my first enduro,” says Gary, who decided to try the national enduros when he was just 13 years old. “My younger brother, Neil, and I were looking for something different. Our dad used to ride traditional time-keeping enduros, so we decided to give enduros a try. It wasn’t that hard to transition into.” The Enman brothers say their parents are their pit crew, but their dad hopes to ride with them next year. On occasion, the boys get to ride on the same row, and that adds to the camaraderie-building experience. “The enduros have a great community vibe,” Neil says. “It’s like being part of a huge family. Someone is always there to One Of help when you need it.” While racing is the main focus of the weekend, the Enman Motorcycling’s brothers say they enjoy camping, hanging out with their race friends and checking out the terrain. They also try to Oldest Disciplines, experience something local to the race location, whether it’s seeing a national landmark or eating at a local restaurant. Enduros Are Evolving For “If you’re someone wondering if you should try enduros, I say A New Generation just go for it,” Gary says. “It’s nice to go out and race all day, but be able to take breaks and reset your mind. -
