The images we create of our society reflect the society we are. A culture of peace is built on the images that express our hopes and aspirations of a society at peace with itself. In our ever changing multimedia culture the speed of technological development, the emphasis on commercial growth and the democratization of the media environment poses immense challenges to society’s images of itself. Our media environment is filled with images of aggressive competition, violence and xenophobic stereotypes.
