A38 Ship (read more) According to Lonely Planet A38 Ship - moored on the Buda side just south of Petőfi Bridge - was the world’s best bar in 2012. 6 BUDAPEST INFORMATION ACCESS Transportation to Hungexpo Public transport: Bus 10 is passing on a round way from Őrs Vezér Tere metro station around HUNGEXPO and basically stops at each gate. The schedule of this bus can be ordered for higher frequency in some assigned periods. According to the requirements the bus can pass in 5-10 minutes frequency for one hour in the morning and in the afternoon, and during the rest of the day we can keep the 20 min. frequency. Basically the bus stops at each gate, but it is possible to order it only for stopping at certain gates. Several signage options are also available, varying from bus-stop and route signage at the final station to gate signage and window stickers at the main entrance. An exact offer with the costs of this service can be made according to the requirements in an extra agreement. This transportation solution is operated by the Centre for Budapest Transport. Furthermore the venue is also accessible from the city center in 12 minutes by tram no.37 from the end station Blaha Lujza square. About the metro lines please see the details on pages 33-34 below.

The Economist Intelligence Unit’s (EIU) January 2016 forecast for Hungary shows GDP growth of 2.5% in 2016, 2.4% in 2017 and 2.6% in 2018. In the last three years, Budapest has seen a significant 13.5% growth in arrivals, far surpassing pre‐crisis levels. The Leisure and MICE segments dominate the market and international markets accounted for 86.4% of total arrivals in 2014. In 2014, the UK represented 7.7% of total international arrivals, Germany 7.1%, the USA 6.2% and Italy 5.6%. Other source markets include Russia, Spain and France. In 2013 and 2014 the number of congresses hosted in Budapest rose by 8.2% and fell by 8.5%, respectively, according to the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA). However, the city remains 17th worldwide in terms of the number of congresses hosted. Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport welcomed more than nine million visitors in 2014, the highest number recorded since 2004. Budapest scheduled a transport development strategy from 2014 to 2030. Renovations of the city’s infrastructure and tourism attractions will also take place. Liberty Bridge (Szabadsag hid) Liberty Bridge (Szabadság híd,is maybe the less attractive bridge in the city center ) is the one located at the southern end of city center, leading to Gellert Hill. The 333.6 m long bridge was built between 1894 and 1896. Its middle part was destroyed during World War II but it was rebuilt in 1945, and further restoration work was conducted to eliminate all war-related damage between 2007 and 2009. The bridge's main ornaments, four falcon-like bronze statues sitting on top of the bridge's four central masts (these are actually turuls, a mythological bird that represents power, strength and nobility in Hungary), were also restored. The bridge was originally named after the Emperor Franz Joseph, but it was renamed Liberty Bridge when the country was liberated from the Nazi occupation by the Soviet army at the end of World War II in 1945. The same year, the Liberation Monument was erected at the top of Gellert Hill. This imposing statue takes on the form of a woman holding a palm leaf above her head and can best be admired while crossing the bridge. 2. The immediate forerunner of the Corvinus University,the Faculty of Economics of the Royal Hungarian University, was established in 1920.
