Stewards Summary Update FINAL: issued Sunday 23 April, 2017 at 1810hrs. Matters from Race 4: Race Director Incident Determinations The RD investigated an incident that alleged Car #26, Shae Davies, had breached the end of Safety Car procedures by weaving after the Safety Car Lights went out. The RD determined that the matter did not warrant being referred to the Stewards as Car #26 was not found to have breached Rule D11.2.11. Stewards’ Decisions – Penalties imposed The Stewards received a report and looked at media vision evidence that Car #28, Jack LeBrocq breached Rule D11.2.6 (Re-joined circuit during Safety Car period when Pit Lane was closed, disobeyed Red Lights at Pit Exit), the Stewards imposed a penalty of Loss of 50 Dunlop Super2 Series Points on Car #28, Jack LeBrocq. After considering additional evidence provided, the Stewards reduced the penalty to Loss of 35 Dunlop Super2 Series Points on Car #28, Jack LeBrocq. Following an Investigation and an admission of Careless Driving by Car #56, Jack Smith, found to have lost control and made contact with Car #56 Jake Kostecki at Turn 1, and in doing so crashed into Car #56, causing Car #56 to spin off the track, losing time and positions. The Stewards imposed Loss of twenty-five (25) Dunlop Super2 Series Points. Following an Investigation and an admission of Careless Driving by Car #48, Matthew Palmer, found to have made contact with Car #98 Renee Gracie at Turn 11, causing Car #98 to leave the track and lose time and positions. The Stewards imposed Loss of twenty-five (25) Dunlop Super2 Series Points. Stewards Summary Update #2: issued Sunday 23 April, 2017 at 1030hrs. Matters from Race 2: Race Director Incident Determinations Nil Stewards’ Decisions – Penalties imposed Following an Investigation and an admission of Careless Driving by Car #35, Todd Hazelwood, found not to have left sufficient racing room on the exit of Turn 10 on Lap 10, causing Car #35 to gain an advantage and pass Car #26 Shae Davies. The Stewards imposed an addition of Five (5) seconds to Car #35, Todd Hazelwood Race Time for Race 2. Car #26 was not found to have made any contact with Car #38, and the Driver of Car #38 withdrew his request. Stewards’ Decisions – Penalties imposed The Stewards imposed a fifteen (15) second Time Penalty on Car #35, Todd Hazlewood, for a driving infringement, Careless Driving causing contact with Car #88, Paul Dumbrell at Turn 10. Stewards Summary Update #1: issued Saturday 22nd April 2017 at 1015hrs. Matters from Practice: Race Director Incident Determinations Nil Stewards’ Decisions – Penalties imposed The Stewards received a Pit Lane Speed Report that Car #16, Bryce Fullwood, exceeded the Pit Lane speed limit (60kph) at Pit Entry. A report was also received from Category Technical Manager. The Stewards imposed a Fine of $500 on Bryce Fullwood for this breach. Matters from Qualifying: Race Director Incident Determinations Nil Stewards’ Decisions – Penalties imposed Following an Investigation and an admission of Careless Driving by Car #21, Jack Smith, impeding Car #26, Shae Davies, at Turn 1, the Stewards imposed a four (4) Grid Spots penalty on Car #21, Jack Smith, for Race 1. The Stewards received a Pit Lane Speed Report that Car #26, Shae Davies, exceeded the Pit Lane speed limit (49kph) at Pit Entry. The Stewards imposed a Fine of $350 on Shae Davies for this breach. The Stewards received a Pit Lane Speed Report that Car #26, Shae Davies, exceeded the Pit Lane speed limit (51kph) at Pit Entry. The Stewards imposed a Fine of $500 on Shae Davies for this breach. Matters from Race 1: Race Director Incident Determinations Nil P a g e | 2 INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY – NO REGULATORY VALUE STEWARDS SUMMARY OF JUDICIAL OUTCOMES Stewards’ Decisions – Penalties imposed Following an Investigation and an admission of Reckless Driving by Car #16, Bryce Fullwood, causing contact with Car #55, Kurt Kostecki, at Turn 2. As Car #16 finished towards the back of the field, a Post Race Pit Lane equivalent Time Penalty was not appropriate. The Stewards imposed a penalty of Loss of thirty-five (35) Dunlop Super2 Series Points. Following an Investigation and an admission of Careless Driving by Car #38, Will Brown, that he was wholly to blame for contact with Car #16, Bryce Fullwood, causing car #16 to spin, Car #16 was able to continue in the Race.
